Selling Sunset’s Mary Fitzgerald slams Christine Quinn claims on lack of pregnancy congratulations

Selling Sunset’s Mary Fitzgerald has hit back at Christine Quinn’s claim that she failed to congratulate her on her pregnancy announcement, while also discussing her decision to freeze her eggs with her husband Romain Bonnet.

The reality TV star, 39, butted heads with Christine – who is expecting her first child with husband Christian Richard – on previous episodes of the real estate drama and their ongoing feud shows no signs of slowing down.

While Mary revealed she previously ‘extended an olive branch’ to her co-star, 31, over the phone, she said she ‘didn’t know what the deal was’ when Christine accused her of failing to send her well wishes.

‘I sent her a voice message when I found out she was pregnant, congratulating her and she said “thank you,”‘ the star told Hello! magazine from the comfort of her new $1.5million Los Angeles pad.

‘But then I saw an article where she was bashing me, Heather Rae Young and Chrishell Stause for not liking her pregnancy announcement and I was like, “What?”

‘We don’t even follow each other on Instagram. None of us do, so I don’t know what the deal was with that, but I did reach out to her and I did congratulate her.’

Before Christine took a swipe at her co-stars for not congratulating her on This Morning earlier this month, Mary revealed that she called her to make amends, and their conversation was productive.

The real estate agent said they ‘hashed out’ their problems and it went ‘really well,’ to the point where they could get back to a place of being civil with one another.

But following the bombshell claims, Mary has insisted she won’t let things be awkward on the next series and is excited to return. She assured fans there will just as much drama, if not more than the previous seasons.

The 39-year-old said issues are ‘bound to come up’ due to the mixture of strong personalities on the reality TV show while admitting that some scenes can be very uncomfortable to film.

She asserted to the publication that everything on the programme is real and nothing is scripted, hence the raw emotion which emanates from certain scenes.

Although production have free rein to edit the show how they see fit, Mary credited Selling Sunset for accurately portraying the entire cast and for not taking any moments out of context.

Reflecting on the current life events occupying the minds of her co-stars, she stated that Heather’s marriage is having its fair share of ‘ups and downs’  and Amanza Smith is still having issues surrounding her children.

She and her partner Romain, 27, are also in the process of having her embryos frozen to extend the timeline in which they can have children.

Mary gushed over her partner, confirming he is The One, as she admitted that she needs to make freezing her eggs a ‘top priority,’ as the quality and number of eggs decreases significantly past the age of 40.

She said she ‘doesn’t really care,’ about having another child as she is already the mother to a 22-year-old son name Austin.

Nevertheless, she wants the option to be there in case Romain wants to experience becoming a father.

The Selling Sunset star revealed her husband and son get on like a house on fire but don’t have a conventional stepfather and son relationship.

The 39-year-old confirmed she was initially hesitant to embark on a relationship with the hunk due to their 12-year age gap, but revealed she developed very strong feelings for Romain from the get go.

‘He’s so incredible. I’m very, very lucky,’ she added while praising her husband for his calm and patient temperament.
