Married At First Sight‘s Alana Lister threw her ‘husband’ Jason Engler under the bus at the dinner party on Wednesday night’s episode.
The 30-year-old teacher accused Bryce Ruthven of having told Jason that he would be ‘single’ at the end of the experiment, which Bryce strongly denied.
‘A few weeks ago, you (Bryce’s wife Melissa Ruthven) went to the bathroom and a comment was made, behind your back, from Bryce to Jason, saying, “Let’s catch up on New Year’s, because I’ll be single then”,’ Alana claimed.

The show’s experts were just as shellshocked, with sexologist Alessandra Rampolla noticing the ‘impact’ Alana’s actions were having on him.
A visibly frustrated Jason, 35, lashed out at Alana for having broken his trust.
‘Oh God, Alana! I have never been betrayed by anyone as much as I have just then by my wife. Never, ever in my whole life, ever!’ he raged.

Perhaps having second thoughts, Alana was quick to add that it wasn’t something she wanted to reveal in front of the group.
‘I’ve been contemplating for so long, whether to even say it, because how…. what form do you say it in,’ she said.
‘Bryce’s feelings have changed and he has got a connection with you now,’ she told Melissa, 31. ‘But that does not take away from things in the past that happened.’

Overcome with emotion, Alana wiped away tears as she told Jason: ‘I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I betrayed your trust, and I’m sorry,’ going on to add that she understands why he is ‘pi**ed off’.
Throughout the chaos, Bryce, 30, maintained that he never told Jason he planned on being single by the end of the experiment.
‘I didn’t say it. I never said that,’ he told Alana in front of the group.
