Matty ‘J’ Johnson hilariously spoofs Married At First Sight’s Bryce Ruthven after he voted to ‘leave’ the show – before changing his vote to ‘stay’

Matty ‘J’ Johnson was clearly tuned into Married At First Sight Australia this week. 

The former star of The Bachelor shared his amusement at indecisive groom, Bryce Ruthven, who voted to ‘leave’ bride Melissa Rawson at the commitment ceremony, before crossing it out and writing ‘leave’ on his card instead. 

The 33-year-old made a hilarious spoof of the moment in a video he shared to Instagram on Monday.

In the clip, Matty dresses up as Bryce in an ill-fitting blonde wig, as well as playing the role of a MAFS production assistant. 

‘Bryce’ is shown scribbling out ‘leave’ and starting at the paper, before the assistant asks: ‘If you make a mistake I can get you fresh paper’. 

Matty as Bryce replies: ‘Do you reckon I should leave or is it best to stay for this one?’ to which the assistant says they can’t advise him.

During Monday’s episode, radio host Bryce, 31, left fans in shock when he changed his decision last minute.

After Melissa, 31, revealed her decision to ‘stay’, the whole room stood silent as Bryce looked disgruntled and awkward at the prospect of unveiling his decision. 

He opened his card, saying: ‘I actually decided to leave. But then I crossed it out.’  

After hearing his decision, a visibly upset Melissa said to the camera: ‘I had no idea that leave would even be considered. I’m still a little confused.’
