Married At First Sight viewers praise Jake Edwards for standing up for his ‘wife’ Rebecca Zemek following a heated clash with Bryce Ruthven

Married at First Sight Viewers flocked to social media to express their gratitude to Jake Edwards when he stood up for his ‘wife’ Rebecca Zemek.

During Monday’s episode, the couples had all sat down for dinner when Bryce, 31, stormed in late and decided to give everyone a piece of his mind.

As he zeroed in on Rebecca Zemek, Jake, 32, stood up and confronted him, forcing fellow groom Johnny Balbuziente to step in between them.

‘Don’t stand up and deliver a message to someone who’s sitting down,’ Jake yelled, standing up from his own seat at the table. 

He continued: ‘Sit down! Mate, don’t do it. Sit down.’ 

Viewers were impressed with Jake taking charge of the situation, with many flocking to Twitter including one who wrote, ‘Jake calling out his sh*t! I love it’

‘We love Jake!!!!’ commentated a second, before another tweeted: ”Yess. Jake call him out on his intimidation tactics we have to stan.’

Jake was hailed a ‘gentleman’ for standing up for his bride.

Meanwhile, Bryce refused to back down, and blasted Jake for standing by his ‘wife’ Rebecca, 27, as things grew increasingly heated.

‘Of course I’m standing by my wife, mate. You’re the one impacting your wife!’ Jake told Bryce, as his ‘wife’, Melissa Rawson, stood sheepishly behind him.

Jake then told Bryce off for voting ‘leave’ at Sunday’s commitment ceremony, only to later change his mind to ‘stay’.

He told Bryce that Melissa, 31, was ‘vulnerable’, and he still decided to vote ‘leave’, before backflipping on his decision.
