It was revealed in June last year that Opposition leader Anthony Albanese had found love again with Jodie Haydon, after his devastating split from wife Carmel Tebbutt.
On Saturday at the Australian premiere of the blockbuster musical Hamilton in Sydney, Anthony, 58, put on an affectionate display with Jodie, 41, on the red carpet.
The politician previously revealed the break-up with his ex-wife Carmel, 57, in January 2019, wasn’t his decision.

Anthony cut a polished figure on the night in a pale pink shirt, a tailored blue check suit and black dress shoes.
He warmly embraced his new love on the red carpet, wrapping one arm around her waist and smiling for the cameras.
Jodie, a finance worker, looked gorgeous in a burgundy wrap dress and black stilettos, accessorising with a coordinating black clutch and drop earrings.
Her blonde hair was styled loosely around her face and shoulders, and her makeup was elegant.

A source close to Anthony confirmed the relationship to The Sunday Telegraph in June last year, before the pair were pictured having dinner together.
Jodie is a Strategic Partnerships Manager with over 20 years experience.
She grew up on the Central Coast and has never been married or had children, her LinkedIn page reveals.
The new couple first met when Anthony was addressing 250 people at a Melbourne conference in late 2019 when he asked whether there were any NRL South Sydney Rabbitohs supporters in the room.

The relationship is the first for Anthony since splitting with ex-wife Carmel in 2019.
They married in 2000 and have a 20-year-old son called Nathan, who lives with Anthony in Marrickville in Sydney’s inner-west.
Then a Labor frontbencher, Anthony said the split was ‘really tough’ and a ‘difficult period’ in an eye-opening interview with The Herald Sun in January last year.

‘It wasn’t something that I expected. It wasn’t something that I was prepared for,’ he said.
‘I’m an emotional person and I found it very difficult.’
Anthony added that it took a long time to accept and come to terms with the end of the relationship.
Carmel was a New South Wales Labor MP for 17 years before departing state politics in 2015.
She was Deputy Premier between 2008 and 2011 – the first woman to hold the position – under leaders Nathan Rees and Kristina Keneally.
