The actor was first spotted working with other crew members as they prepped to film a fight scene, which eventually moved across the beach and into the water; after the shoot was over, an assistant was seen helping him remove his wet clothing.

Culkin was costumed in a long-sleeve gray shirt that featured a wide neck that exposed the top of his chest.

Underneath his top, the actor wore a skin-colored bodysuit to keep him warm while being soaked in the frigid coastal waters.

The actor paired his tops with a pair of form-fitting black jeans and a set of leather boots for the day’s shoot.

The Getting Even with Dad actor also wore a sizable fuzzy overcoat while filming his scene; he later had it removed after the article of clothing became too wet to wear comfortably.

Production on the new episodes was originally set to begin in the early part of 2020, but filming was cancelled due to the onset of the global pandemic.

After principal photography was pushed back from its scheduled October start time, shooting finally began in December of last year.

Production eventually moved to Provincetown, Massachusetts, where the crew worked for roughly a month before heading back to Los Angeles.

During an interview with Deadline that was published shortly after the finale of American Horror Story’s ninth season, Murphy spoke about how he was not sure if the show would return for an eleventh set of episodes.

The 55-year-old writer also spoke about how the development team talked about going in multiple directions for the show and ultimately found inspiration in a recurring theme.

Murphy said, ‘we flirted with aliens, we flirted with space, we flirted with some things that were more interesting than others. I think that at the heart of it, it’s always about Americana.’

The producer then described his own development process for American Horror Story and noted that he tries to flesh out several options and see what works best.

‘It’s always a mysterious process of how I come up with the idea. I really don’t even understand it. I have a list of finalists on a piece of paper and I work on all of them. It’s just where is my life when I’m working on them,’ he remarked.

Murphy went on speak about how he has always been excited about working on the show, despite the difficulty that comes with the production process.

Specifically, he remarked that American Horror Story has been ‘a show that surprises me. I’m surprised that the actors who are in it, love doing it. It’s so hard to make…But everyone wants to come back.’

The director concluded the interview by expressing his enthusiasm for the upcoming set of episodes and noted that both he looked to his past experiences to come up with its idea.

‘I’m excited about season 10… I worked really hard on it. It was deeply embedded in my childhood,’ he said.
