Sharing a number of photos of Fella over the years, Ulrika wrote: ‘My beloved Fella passed away in his sleep this morning.

‘Many of you will know he came to me July 2019 as a handsome 9 yr old in very bad shape. The glorious @theedwardfoundation saved him and I cared for and loved him.

‘He spent the last 2 1/2 months with foster mummy Clare, as Leo developed issues with Fella.’

Reflecting on his passing, she went on: ‘He would have been 11 in June and oddly he came through very vividly in my thoughts yesterday.

‘He was my boy and lived a wonderful life after his rescue. His ashes will be scattered where Nessie and Dexter lie because I wanted my home to be his final resting place.’

Over the summer last year, Ulrika sadly revealed that her Fella had been diagnosed with dementia.

The star was meant to be fostering Fella for just two weeks, but couldn’t bring herself to let him go and eventually adopted him permanently in 2019.

She revealed that he came to her with a ‘mouth full of tumours’ as well as a broken jaw, arthritis and testicular cancer.

The TV star gave her followers an update after revealing her three-year-old bulldog had been diagnosed with cancer.

Sharing a photo of Leo’s medication she had to administer, an emotional Ulrika told her fans that she was ‘questioning everything.’

‘Today my boy Leo started chemo,’ she wrote. ‘I’ve known it was coming but disassociated for various reasons.’

The star went on to share some facts about her dog, revealing he’s just three-years-old and his diagnosis is similar to her late pooch Dexter who died at the age of four three years ago.

‘I already lost Dexter at the age of 4 – the treatment that was supposed to save him, effectively killed him,’ she explained.

‘I can’t bear the thought of this s**t show,’ Ulrika continued. ‘I know someone out there is suffering considerably worse shows of sh*t. But what are the chances that I face losing a second? Boy.

‘My emotions are loaded. Weirdly woke up this morning in a good mood. When does that happen?’

‘And then when it came to administering the stuff, I was welling up; began to lose my nerve; questioned everything.’

She finished her post by thanking her followers for their support, writing: ‘Please don’t feel the need to comment – I know you guys care. I don’t want empathy. I want a cure. But I know there isn’t one for him and at some point a sh*t decision will need to be made.

‘For now. Leo, my darling boy: love; good food and CBD will be at your disposal.’

In November, Ulrika revealed that he was ‘responding to treatment’ but that there is tragically ‘no cure’.
