The Sullivans holiday house in Woodend, Victoria set to go under the hammer for $2.5million

The holiday home featured in the iconic Australian period drama The Sullivans is set to go under the hammer.

The four-bedroom former homestead, located in the small town of Woodend in Victoria, is expected to fetch between $2.2 million to $2.5 million and will go up for auction on April 10, Domain reported on Monday.

The Instagram-worthy property, called Cloverdel, sits on seven acres, which includes a beautiful garden and farmland.

It dates back to the 19th century and maintains some of its period charm, but is combined with sleek and modern updates throughout in recent years.

The verandah leads into the first floor of the house and its bright and airy lounge room. 

An open door way flows into the dining room and kitchen, which is kitted out with the latest appliances and designed with a minimalism style in mind.

The kitchen leads to the pantry and cellar, as well as the first of two bathrooms.

On the opposite side of the first floor are two bedrooms, each with their own built-in wardrobes.

Next to the first bedroom is a courtyard that also connects to the study room.

Back in the pantry, a set of stars lead up to the loft area, where two more bedroom are located and provide a great view of the grounds. 

Alongside the main house is the self-contained cottage that comes complete with a kitchen and ensuite, as well as an extra room for a bunk bed. 

The publication reports that the property can earn additional income for its potential new owners as an ‘event venue’, as it has permits to hold such events.

‘It would be someone who wants a weekender, with the option of that (the permit),’ listing agent Tom May said. 

‘It is quite good buying and we think the value proposition is really good, but also to be mindful the house is beautiful but it is not huge,’ he added.
