Pregnant Alexandra Roach displays her growing bump during a stroll with husband Jack Scales – after the Iron Lady actress revealed she’s expecting her first child

Iron Lady star Alexandra Roach displayed her growing bump in a cosy yellow hoodie as she headed out for a stroll with her husband Jack Scales on Thursday.

The actress, 33, opted for the comfy ensemble as she took her dog Ronnie for a walk after announcing earlier this week she’s expecting her first child.

Alexandra, who is also set to star in the ITV drama Viewpoint, previously played the younger incarnation of Meryl Streep’s version of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in the 2011 film The Iron Lady.

Alexandra opted for the casual yellow hoodie and jeans as she and husband James stepped out hand-in-hand.

The Welsh TV star sported a cosy beanie hat and black padded coat as she took her pet pooch Ronnie for the walk.

Earlier this week, Alexandra announced that she and Jack were expecting their first child together, after tying the knot in 2018.

The star posted an image of herself wearing a black dress in Bristol, where they live.

‘I can’t wait to meet my new pal,’ she wrote in the caption.

Her Killing Eve co-star, Jodie Comer, was among the first of her friends to congratulate her, along with her Viewpoint co-star Noel Clarke and Gentleman Jack’s Sophie Rundle.

Alexandra and Jack got engaged in 2015 just over a year after meeting him through Facebook, and the pair wed three years later.

She’s next set to appear in the ITV drama Viewpoint, which is headed up by Fleabag director Harry Bradbeer and follows a tense police surveillance investigation into a close Manchester community.

Noel Clarke will take on the role of surveillance detective, DC Martin King, as he investigates missing primary school teacher, Gemma Hillman, played by Amy Wren. 

Last year Alexandra was seen alongside Catherine Tydesley and several other actors filming scenes for the drama, with all cast members adhering to Covid safety guidelines.
