Kimberley Walsh shares impressive before-and-after snaps from tidying her baby’s nursery

She is expecting her third child with husband Justin Scott.

And Kimberley Walsh was busy preparing for the new arrival on Friday as she tidied the tot’s nursery, sharing impressive before-and-after snaps of the room.

The Girls Aloud singer, 39, revealed she had dozens of bags of clothes and shoes to sort through as well as lots of boxes containing products for the little one.

Kimberley documented her progress on Instagram Stories, lamenting how much she had to sort as she joked: ‘It has to get worse before it gets better right?’

In her before snaps, the draws of a dresser were all pulled out revealing lots of small items to organise only adding to the bags covering the floor.

However despite the big task, Kimberley managed to completely transform the room and shared a Stacey Solomon-inspired ‘tap to tidy’ snap.

In this picture the nursery was seen looking pristine with all the furniture uncovered and nothing sitting on the wood floor.

Kimberley seemed to be in good spirits as she sorted, even rediscovering baby-grows which her pals had decorated at a baby shower for her first child, Bobby.

Included in the keepsakes was a white vest decorated by Kimberley’s Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts, with the item boasting a bumblebee on the front.

And the doting mum even got a little help from one of her sons during the tidying up process as he tested out her leopard-print Baby Bjorn carrier.

Earlier this month the singer revealed she had struggled during the winter lockdown as she prepared to welcome her new baby.

She admitted that she has found the second phase of lockdown ‘tough’ and said it made her understand how people can have difficulties with their mental health.

In an interview with Heat! Magazine, she said: ‘This year has been really testing. During the first lockdown, I felt like I was really in control…

‘I was exercising every day and cooking and growing stuff – but it was all very positive – but this second phase has been tough…

‘It’s the first time I’ve actually thought, ‘I can see why people have issues with mental health.’ I’d never felt like that before – it was scary.’

The pop star also revealed that she finds it hard to relax as her brain ‘doesn’t switch off’ and said she is ‘terrible’ at meditation.

Kimberley confirmed last December she and husband Justin were expecting their third child in an interview with OK! Magazine, after deciding to add to their brood following the first lockdown together.

The singer, who was 15 weeks pregnant at the time, told the magazine: ‘We chatted throughout the lockdown and said family is everything and we’re not really done, and we’d quite like to add one more to the fold.’

She added: ‘For the family, it’s been a bit of light in the distance and something to look towards and get excited about, and plan for.’

Kimberley explained that the chance to slow her career down this year meant she reevaluated with what was most important to her.

She said: ‘I’ve had a few busy years of working and being a mum. I’m a certain age where it’s a bit now or never. There was no way in my head that I felt like I was done.’

The star added that she waited longer in between having her youngest and falling pregnant again because of her busy schedule.

Kimberley said she knew she was pregnant the minute her period was late, but she and Justin waited to break the news until she was further along.

Kimberley met her musician husband at a gig back in 2003 and the couple have been married since 2016. They already have two sons Bobby, six, and Cole, four.
