Kris Jenner reveals Kim Kardashian is concentrating on her children and law career amid divorce

Kris Jenner has revealed Kim Kardashian is focusing on her children and law career amid her divorce from Kanye West.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians matriarch, 65, gave an update on her reality star daughter, 40, during Thursday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

When asked by Ellen, 63, how Kim is doing as she navigates her split from the rapper, 43, Kris said: ‘Kim’s good. She’s really busy, working on all of her different projects…

‘She’s so focused. Her study time is all blocked out, so nothing else can get in the way. I don’t know how she does it, with all [my] grandbabies. She’s got a lot of energy, that kid.’

The mother-of-six also told Ellen: Opening up about Kim’s dedication to preparing for the bar, momager Kris added: ‘She’s just passionate about the whole thing and everything she stands for, and I see her studying.

‘It’s in her schedule every single day, when I get all the schedules for the kids. I’m so proud of her.’

Kris also credited Kim’s father Robert Kardashian – a high-profile lawyer – as her daughter’s biggest inspiration.

She said: ‘I think that’s a big motivation for her, having her dad do what he did. She always looked up to her dad, and that was her idol.’

Kim spends 18 hours a week studying law under the guidance of Jessica Jackson, Van Jones, and Erin Haney so she can pass the California State Bar in 2024 and eventually start her own law firm.

The TV personality juggles her studies with raising her four children with Kanye; North, seven, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, 22 months.

SKIMS founder Kim and rapper Kanye are in the midst of a multi-million dollar divorce.

Last month, Kim filed for divorce from the musician following a six-year-plus marriage, asking for joint custody of the kids.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is also requesting spousal support be terminated as an option for either party in the divorce.

The mother-of-six marvelled: 'I see her studying...It's in her schedule every single day when I get all the schedules for the kids. Her study time is all blocked. I'm so proud of her'

In her February 19 split filing, Kim cited irreconcilable differences, noting that they have a prenuptial agreement in place.

Their date of separation, however, remains to be determined in the eyes of the court, with the date becoming a potential point of contention when dividing up assets.

Kim and Kanye have a prenuptial agreement in place that should govern the issue.

It was later reported that the couple are only only communicating through security after Kanye changed his number and cut-off of Kim, despite a source telling MailOnline last month: ‘The split is amicable and there is no drama.’

Insiders told Page Six: ‘Even before Kim filed for divorce, Kanye changed his numbers and said, “You can contact me through my security”. Despite this, she trusts him around the kids. He loves them and is seeing a lot of them.’

Kanye and Kim began dating in 2012 and got engaged in 2013, before marrying in a lavish ceremony in Florence, Italy, in May 2014.

The divorce is the first for Kanye and third for Kim, who was previously married to Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004 and Kris Humphries from 2011 to 2013.

In recent months, the children have mostly been seen with Kim in Hidden Hills, California, where the family has a $60 million mansion.

There is a ranch in Cody, Wyoming where Kanye has been staying as the former couple work on dividing property.

Kim is worth almost $800 million thanks to her different make-up and beauty products, while Kanye is worth around $1.3 billion.

Tension between Kanye and Kim began to build in July when Kanye decided to run for president.

During that campaign, an increasingly erratic Kanye called Kris Jenner ‘Kris Jong Un’ and involved a rant about wanting his wife to have an abortion earlier in their marriage.

Kim reportedly stopped wearing her wedding band in November while she and Kanye went to marriage counseling to try to work things out, but it was ultimately not enough to prevent a divorce.

The two have had little contact since October 2020 when they argued during Kim’s 40th birthday party held at The Brando resort in Polynesia.

The final season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians will document the divorce.

Kris even addressed the end of the marriage with daughter Kourtney, 41, during the season premiere of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Relaxing at a home they had rented in Malibu, she said: ‘I know she doesn’t want to talk about it on camera, but I just feel like she’s struggling a bit’.

Kourtney insisted her sister Kim ‘can’t possibly navigate this on her own,’ as the star prepares to co-parent their four kids while hashing out custody arrangements in court.

Kris agreed with her eldest daughter about the split with Kanye, admitting: ‘I don’t know how she’s dealing with the stress of it all.’

It was claimed last week that Kim was keen for Kanye to keep a constant presence in his children’s lives.

A source had said: ‘He still wants to play a huge role in their lives and Kim would never discourage that… He is no longer living at the house with Kim and the kids. When he sees the kids, he meets them elsewhere.’
