Rose McGowan stuns in multi-colored bikini on a Mexico beach after becoming a permanent resident

Scream actress Rose McGowan seems to be enjoying her new life in Mexico.

The 47-year-old actress looked incredible as she sported a multi-colored bikini and sun hat for a day on the beach in her new home of Tulum on Tuesday.

The versatile Hollywood star showed off her toned curves as she took advantage of the warm weather to hang out with her dogs and an unidentified friend.

Rose officially became a permanent resident of the country in February, admitting she felt ‘so grateful’ to have received her permanent residency card.

The Charmed star has been making the most of her new surroundings as she excitedly filmed her wet dogs as they ran in and out of the water.

She wore a large pair of sunglasses and a pair of fan earrings for the outing, chatting with her friend as they strolled through the warm sand.

Rose, who was born in Italy, described Mexico as ‘truly magical’ and ‘a really healing land’ while gushing over her new home.

It seems the star is planning to stay in Tulum – the popular tourist attraction on the stunning Caribbean coastline of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula – for a while.

Appearing on The Dab Roast, she spilled: ‘I just got my permanent residency card from Mexico, and I’m so grateful to have it. This is a really healing land here and it is truly magical.’

The Scream performer’s move came after she professed she ‘stands with’ Evan Rachel Wood, 33, in light of abuse allegations she had made against rocker Marilyn Manson, 52, in February.

Rose was engaged to Manson, real name Brian Warner, for two years before they ended their romance in 2001.

Westworld star Evan accused Manson, who she was also engaged to, of ‘brainwashing’ her and ‘manipulating her into submission’ and Rose said she was ‘profoundly sorry’ to hear Evan’s story.

Speaking out, she branded Hollywood ‘a cult’ and insisted she is supportive of the alleged survivors.

In a statement posted to Instagram, Rose penned: ‘My statement: I am profoundly sorry to those who have suffered the abuse & mental torture of Marilyn Manson.’

‘When I say Hollywood is a cult, I mean the Entertainment industry including the music industry is a cult. Cult’s protect the rot at the top.’

‘Theirs is a sickness that must be stopped. The industrial fame complex chooses who they protect & who they’ll let be their victims. For profit. I stand with Evan Rachel Wood and all of those who have or will come forward.’

‘And please don’t pull out the “why did they take so much time to come forward?” question that shames victims/survivors, it’s what stops others from coming forward. And to all of those who have covered for monsters, shame on you. Rise and say no more.’

Rose ended their engagement in 2001, blaming ‘lifestyle differences.’

She has not accused Manson of abuse. McGowan was one of the first women to accuse Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault when she alleged in 2017 that he had raped her in 1997.

In 2020, she said she doesn’t think she’ll get closure over her Weinstein allegations until ‘one of [them] is dead.’

Although the disgraced movie mogul was found guilty of third-degree rape and a first-degree criminal sexual act in his sexual assault trial in Manhattan, Rose doesn’t think the conviction will bring her much closure.

In an interview on the Shut Up Evan podcast – which was recorded a few days before Weinstein’s guilty verdict – she was asked if the trial was bringing her any sense of finality in her own story, and she said: ‘Probably not until he’s dead now.’

‘I feel like he and I are strapped in this battle together until one of us is dead. That’s how it goes. Energetically, we’re like just locked. It’s a really disgusting feeling. I just would love to be able to be like other people and live my life. That would be really nice, you know?’

Rose has since spoken out following Weinstein’s conviction, which saw him acquitted of three charges, including the most serious charge of predatory sexual assault.

She admitted she was worried Weinstein would be ‘exonerated,’ and called his convictions a ‘huge victory’ for his alleged victims.

She said: ‘This is a huge victory for all of us who have ever been affected by Harvey Weinstein. This affects so many. It’s a huge moment. I thought he was going to exonerated. I never really had hope you see.’

‘I realized the last time I had hope was the moment before I was raped by him and after that it became survival. I didn’t have hope but not because of the jury, I’m very grateful to that jury for getting further than most jury’s get in rape cases. I was worried, it’s hard to speak publicly about it without getting sued. But it’s an extraordinary moment and it’s a watershed moment. It’s a never-ending kind of situation.’
