‘What have you done to my skin colour?’ Ranvir Singh is unimpressed after Good Morning Britain host’s face is used in Spice Girls deepfake video

Ranvir Singh was left speechless on Wednesday’s edition of Good Morning Britain after her face was playfully used in a new deepfake video.

The presenter, 43, appeared to be dismayed after watching the clip, in which her likeness was superimposed over all five Spice Girls’ in a segment from their 1996 Say You’ll Be There video.

Chatting to showbiz correspondent Richard Arnold, who appeared on the show remotely from his London home, she was initially shown similar face swaps featuring Brooklyn Beckham and Arnold himself before watching her own.

‘You look lovely!’ she told him. ‘You carry a boob tube off very well!’

However she was less impressed when it came to hers, and admitted she didn’t even realize who it was due to the presenter’s features being merged with Mel C, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham’s lighter skin tones.

‘I didn’t see me! Was I on it?’ she asked, before adding: ‘That’s not me! What have you done to my skin colour? I’m not white, I don’t know if anyone’s noticed?’

Arnold was equally unimpressed with his own, admitting the effect reminded him of a Foxy Bingo advertisement.

‘It’s all a bit dark,’ he commented. ‘Not for me at all.’

The playful segment was inspired by Victoria Beckham’s eldest son Brooklyn, who teased his mother on Monday by using the Reface app while singing along to the Spice Girls hit.

The 22-year old’s face replaced all the four other members of the band as they each got their solo time in front of the camera.

Say You’ll Be There was The Spice Girls’ second single and featured on their debut album, Spice.

It became the band’s second number one and propelled them to international stardom.
