Geena stuck to a California casual look including a pink ‘LOVE is LOVE’ top and a pair of white sneakers for her latest outing.

The Thelma And Louise icon made sure to take the precaution of wearing a mask while emerging from lockdown amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

During the late 1970s Geena was a college girl studying drama at Boston University where she got her bachelor’s degree.

Her career took off the following decade – in 1982 she landed her first film role in Tootsie and she won her first Oscar for her 1988 movie The Accidental Tourist.

Just a few months ago the Los Angeles Times revealed she offloaded her Spanish mansion in the Pacific Palisades for a cool $5.63 million.

Her sale price was a markup from the $4.2 million she forked over when she bought the property in 2007 – 13 years before passing it along to its next owner.

Also near the end of last year Glee star Jane Lynch revealed a backstage story about Geena’s 1992 sports movie A League Of Their Own.

Jane dished on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen that she had auditioned for the role that ultimately went to Rosie O’Donnell.

Geena and Rosie were part of a star-studded cast that included Tom Hanks and Madonna in the women’s baseball film directed by Penny Marshall.

In the early 1990s a spin-off show was picked up by CBS but failed to gain traction and did not even get to broadcast all six episodes that were filmed.

Geena did not even appear in the TV show – Carey Lowell played her character instead – but a few other supporting cast members like Jon Lovitz did.

However last summer The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Amazon Video is percolating a new TV show based on the movie.

Abbi Jacobson of Broad City fame is co-creating the show with Will Graham who has written for such TV series as Alpha House and Mozart In The Jungle.
