Kirsty Gallacher, 45, reveals she feels ‘completely ready’ for a baby with her new boyfriend

Kirsty Gallacher feels ‘completely ready’ to have a baby with her new mystery boyfriend.

The TV presenter and mother-of-two, 45, is in a new relationship and said she is thinking about having a third child – but would want to get pregnant ‘sooner rather than later’.

The broadcaster parted ways with her ex-husband, retired rugby player Paul Sampson, 43, in 2015 after a 15-year relationship and they co-parent two sons Oscar, 14, and Jude, 11.

Kirsty said: ‘I wouldn’t put anything past having another child… I’d obviously want to do it sooner rather than later, but I toy with it right now.’

Speaking on Women’s Health podcast, Going For Goal, she added: ‘I’m in a new relationship right now and I feel like saying if someone’s got a problem [with her having another child at 45], why is that?

‘Why am I too old? What is the problem if I’m fit, healthy, able, and we want to do that?’

The fitness enthusiast said she feels physically and mentally prepared to get pregnant again, saying: ‘I’d love another child, I feel completely ready for it.

‘I feel healthier than ever, fitter than ever, I think my mind’s better than it’s ever been.’

Reflecting on her ‘complex’ divorce in 2015, the former Sky Sports presenter spoke about coming out stronger following ‘rough patches’ in her life, including a drink driving charge shortly after the split.

She said: ‘I think sometimes when you have rough patches in your life… as long as you learn, come through it, and get yourself back in a strong place again, I think you feel rather good.

‘And you feel like “Yeah I can deal with life now, I feel better”. I’m glad I’ve been through all that and out the other end, and new beginnings. It’s great, I’m loving my life now.’

Kirsty said she isn’t yet showing any symptoms of perimenopause, which can include irregular periods and hot flashes, although she said she is ‘aware’ and ‘ready’ for it.

She told Women’s Health: ‘At the moment, I’m not having any symptoms of perimenopause.

‘I’m ready for it, I’m aware of it, I do a lot of reading up on it. I know that weight training and fitness is vital… it is a taboo subject still, I don’t care what anyone says. I don’t know why it is a taboo subject really, I’ve never really got it.

‘I also feel in this modern world now, I really feel that 40 is 30, I think 50 is 40…we live in a modern world, it’s completely different.

‘Our thoughts should be modern too, there shouldn’t be such subjects that are, “Oh god are you menopausal?”, well, does it matter?’

Kirsty previously said she was a ‘skinny’ and ‘anxious wreck’ after her divorce from the retired rugby star after four years of marriage.

Talking about her marital split on The Power Of Ten podcast, Kirsty admitted she was ‘traumatised’ after the ‘complex’ divorce.

The TV presenter credited her ‘amazing’ personal trainer and retired professional rugby player, Mel Deane, for ‘saving’ her during the difficult time.

She said: ‘To be honest, well, that’s sort of when I came to meeting Mel and probably he saved me in many ways.

‘I was a skinny, anxious wreck, traumatised because of lots of reasons around the divorce.’

Kirsty added: ‘It’s much more complex than people know. There are things you keep private. And I think that Mel got to know me and what I’d been through and was amazing for me.’

The star spoke about the trauma of their ‘devastating’ break-up, admitting it left her ‘grieving and mourning.’

Speaking on the Outspoken Beauty podcast, the broadcaster outlined the heartbreaking effect that her divorce had on her, revealing it left her ‘devastated’ and struggling to eat.

Kirsty, who was married to Paul between 2010 and 2015, told the publication: ‘The divorce was a very difficult period. I found it devastating.

‘I was grieving and mourning. I think I had post traumatic stress disorder. I was skinny, not eating and wanting to black it all out. It was painful.

‘I felt a burden and a sadness for my children, even though I didn’t do anything wrong and Sammo didn’t do anything wrong. No one was to blame.’

The former couple met in 1999 shortly after Paul had won his first cap for England and Kirsty was made the new face of Sky Sports News.

They married in 2010 in a £50,000 ceremony in Spain but their relationship started to wobble the following year after Paul’s retirement from rugby due to injury.

The former London Wasps player went into a depression and did not know what to do with himself, a situation worsened by the fact he had failed to come to terms with his father’s death in 2004.

He has now launched his own life-coaching business to help sports players and separating couples.

Kirsty has kept her relationships largely out of the spotlight since her marital split, aside from a brief romance with rugby player Danny Cipriani, 33, in 2016.

The TV personality was said to be ‘devastated’ when the couple called time on their six-month romance due to their age gap.

In 2017, it was claimed Kirsty was in a six-month relationship with actor Laurence Fox, 42, shortly before her drink-driving arrest.
