She caused a major sensation at this month’s Grammy awards in a pink pixie haircut performing her hit song from last year.

And on Monday, Cardi B broke another record as she made history becoming the first female rapper to have a total of five No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The accomplishment comes with her latest single, Up, which Cardi, 28, performed as part of a medley at the Grammys.

Her other hits to reach No. 1 included 2017‘s Bodak Yellow, her 2018 collaboration with Bad Bunny and J Balvin I Like It, Girls Like You on which she was featured from Maroon 5 that same year, and last year‘s hit WAP featuring Megan Thee Stallion. 

According to Billboard, of those five songs, four have also topped the Hot Rap Songs chart.

Cardi is also the first female rap artist with two Hot 100 No. 1 songs with no accompanying artists – Bodak Yellow and Up.

On her Instagram, the Money hitmaker showed her gratitude in an effusive post that showed a visual of Up at the top of the charts.

In the caption, she wrote, ‘I want God to come see me in my dreams when I take my nap today so I can kiss his feet and tell him how much I love him!

‘I got no words,’ she later added. ‘Actually I got a lot of words but I can’t type it all’ Cardi concluded, before adding to cry-face emojis and ‘NUMBER 1!!!!!’

Cardi, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, recently discussed her future aspirations, which include becoming ‘a billion dollar woman.’

In an interview with Stationhead last week, the outspoken rapper said she now considers Rihanna and Jay-Z to be her role models, because she wants ‘to build a huge brand.

‘When I came to the game and people used to be like, “Who do you look up to?” I always used to say, “I don’t look up to nobody,” because I didn’t really understand the game and I only feel like I got influenced by the people that was around me,’ Cardi explained.

‘Now that I’m at the level that I’m at, one of my biggest influences is Rihanna and Jay-Z,’ she said in the interview. ‘And I’m not just saying it to kiss a** or anything.’ 

‘I just feel like they’re so influential because Rihanna comes from a country, a Caribbean country, that my parents came from and she’s a whole billionaire,’ Cardi added. 

‘But for her to make her business so big and be a billionaire, that’s what I strive to be. That’s what I want. I want to be a billion-dollar woman.’
