Pip Edwards does a sexy photoshoot in the torrential rain in Byron Bay

Not the best timing! Pip Edwards does a sexy photoshoot in the torrential rain in Byron Bay as people continue to suffer through floods

Byron Bay may be under siege from the wild weather, but that didn’t stop Pip Edwards from staging a sexy outdoor photoshoot.

In a series of posts on Instagram on Monday, the 40-year-old fashion designer proved that not even a torrential downpour could put a dampener on her shoot.

One photo posted to her main Instagram grid showed Pip lounging by a resort swimming pool on an inflatable chair as the sky opened up above her.

‘The perfect way to end a very wet day… to bathe in the @the_bower_byron_bay ‘s heated magnesium pool,’ she captioned the post.

She added: ‘It’s so good to be back in Byron and at The Bower’.

Another photo showed Pip using an orange jacket to shield herself from the downpour as she stood barefoot in a green and white bikini top.

‘”There’s a 30% chance it’s already raining” @mingey #whenitrainsitpours,’ she captioned the photo, quoting a line from Mean Girls and tagging actress Amanda Seyfried in the post.

A series of posts on Instagram Stories showed the weather didn’t improve much throughout Pip’s photoshoot either.

In one photo, she’s seen in the swimming pool, wearing a black one-piece swimsuit with white trim.

‘Rain check,’ she captioned one post, before adding that she was ‘smiling through it…’

More than a week of torrential rain has led to flooding in Byron Bay and other regions in New South Wales.

Locals were seen wading through floodwater on the town’s main street on Sunday morning to get to their cars, while others braved the wet weather to dine out for lunch.

Byron Bay, which is typically overrun this time of year with holidaymakers, recorded 18mm of rain in the 24 hours to 8am on Sunday.
