And fans watching at home were having none of it, with many exclaiming that it was a case of ‘like mother, like daughter’ and branding Theresa a ‘Karen’.

The outburst from fans came after Jake and Theresa faced off on Monday’s episode, with Theresa slamming Jake’s behaviour as ‘destructive’ over an awkward Zoom call.
‘That’s a big red flag for me, I’m sorry. I’m hearing you’re going out with the boys. Has that destructive behaviour continued?’ Theresa asked angrily.
Jake hit back, saying he ‘needed to get away’ and needed space from her, but Theresa raged again.

‘I’ve heard Beck say you don’t listen to her. You’re not listening to Beck personally. How much time have you two actually been spending together? You apologise to her and you don’t do it again,’ she snapped.
As the bickering went on, Jake said, ‘Can you imagine bringing those families together? It wouldn’t be a very nice Christmas dinner’.
Jake had enough, able to see that the two families don’t get on, and his relationship with Beck falling apart, Jake finally decided to quit.
