Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez spent time over the weekend in the Dominican Republic, amid a recent rough patch in the celeb supercouple’s relationship.
The three-time baseball MVP, 45, shared shots of his time on the island, where Lopez was shooting her upcoming film Shotgun Wedding.
Rodriguez ‘flew back to the Dominican Republic this weekend so he can spend a few more days with Jennifer,’ a source on Sunday told People.

The retired slugger took to Instagram over the weekend with a number of videos and photos he took golfing in the tropical location.
Shotgun Wedding producer Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas posted a clip of the 51-year-old beauty giving cast and crew a speech as production as she ‘halfway through [principal] photography,’ with ‘four more weeks’ left on the film, which recast Armie Hammer’s role after the actor’s personal life made headlines, leading him to drop out of the movie.
In her oceanfront speech, Lopez hailed cast and crew as ‘such an incredible group of people who are so perfect in every way’ in her ‘first movie back since the pandemic.’
She added, ‘I feel like we’re all destined to be here.’

Amid multiple reports the pair had broken up, the couple – who have been linked since 2017 and revealed they were engaged in 2019 – issued a statement saying they ‘are working through some things.’
An insider told People earlier this year that Lopez has ‘been contemplating breaking up with Alex for six months,’ with another source telling the outlet that ‘it was a happy reunion’ when the couple reunited earlier this month.
The source added, ‘Jennifer was excited to see him in person. They are really trying to figure things out.’

In an interview with Allure last month, Lopez said that couples’ therapy ‘was really helpful for us in our relationship,’ as wedding plans were twice scuttled amid the pandemic.
Rodriguez, an alum of the New York Yankees, Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners, is slated to head back to Miami next month to provide analysis for Major League Baseball, including ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball.
Lopez is mother to twins Emme and Max, 13, with her ex-husband, singer Marc Anthony, while Rodriguez is father to daughters Natasha, 16, and Ella, 12, with ex Cynthia Scurti.
