Moving on: Stacey Solomon took to Instagram on Saturday to give fans a glimpse inside her packing journey as she boxed up her belongings and joked she ‘forgot how hard packing was’

Speaking into the camera as she began her mammoth task, Stacey said: ‘I forgot how hard packing was! I really want to get it right because I don’t want to get to the other house and be like “where is everything?”

‘So I’ve done the bathroom and now I’m in Rex’s room and I’ll do his room next. And then I’ll move on to the rooms we use the least and then do the kitchen last I think.’

She went on: ‘And I’m just letting Joe do his own stuff because oh my God, the way he packs stuff gives me actual heart palpitations!

‘I’m not joking, it is the most horrific thing you’ve ever seen! I’ll find you one of his boxes later and you’ll be like “do not let him pack anything!”

She later shared a clip of her and Joe, 39, squabbling over his packing before showing off Joe’s box filled with just four items.

As Joe argued there was plenty of space for more, Stacey insisted: ‘No, you’re not packing Rex’s stuff, I can’t cope!’

She then shared an example of her neatly packed box full of toys and nicely folded blankets next to Joe’s haphazard attempt.

The TV personality then went on to do her famous ‘Tap To Tidy’ montage which saw sections of her home magically packed away with the click of her fingers.

Stacey then later had a laugh when heading to pack up her eight-year-old son Leighton’s room and noticed his ‘questionable’ drawings on his desk.

The star couldn’t help but giggle as she panned the camera over his phallic-shaped doodles on his table, with Stacey saying: ‘Oh, I love him!’

Also on her stories, Stacey addressed some of her fans’ questions about the house move, with one asking if she’s ‘moving really soon’.

Responding to the question, she wrote: ‘Yes we are. We didn’t want to say anything until it was right at the last minute because with any house sale/purchase anything can fall through right up to the last minute so we just wanted it to be definite or as close to before saying anything.’

She also noted that she’s not keeping her old house, while adding she’ll try her best to recreate her beloved ‘pink room’, which is her laundry room.

It comes after the mum-of-three took to Instagram on Friday to where she told how she and her presenter beau have been given the ‘go ahead’ to purchase their dream countryside home, which she said is closer to the city.

Discussing the house news on her Instagram stories, Stacey said: ‘Soooo….For a very long time Joe and me have been searching for our forever home, further from the city and closer to our family…

‘A few months ago we saw a house that we couldn’t even believe was on the market and in the same budget as our house now. There were SO many signs. I really believe in signs and they were everywhere and it just didn’t seem real.

‘We thought it was too good to be true and have not wanted to say anything just in case it didn’t happen…

Stacey added: ‘But it is real, the house needs lots of love and TLC which we can not wait to shower it with…

But Pickle Cottage is going to be ours. And we honestly can not to start this new start together.’ (sic)

Joe also has a son, Harry, 13, from a former relationship.

It’s been a busy time for the former X Factor star as she’s recently launched her new book Tap To Tidy, and she’s set to star in her very own home improvement show.

While she previously revealed that her pet dogs, Theo and Peanut, will be a part of her wedding ceremony and she’s even having suits made for them.

Stacey, who is set to marry Joe during a ‘small’ ceremony in July, admitted that she could be persuaded to have a double-barrelled last name.

Talking to Zoe Ball on BBC Radio 2 about her upcoming wedding, the TV personality said: ‘It is a really funny one, obviously Joe would love me to have his second name.

‘Nothing wrong with his second name but because of kids I want to have the same surname as the kids,’ she added: ‘Maybe I will double-barrel it?’

The interview comes after Stacey revealed that her three sons will give her away with her father at her ‘small’ summer wedding to fiancé Joe.

The presenter also admitted that if the ‘worst comes to the worst’ amid the pandemic restrictions, she will still marry Joe over the summer even if they only have a ceremony of six.

She told Hello!: ‘It’s going really well and I’m really enjoying it, I’m trying to stay as positive as possible. I know the reality of the situation is that we might not even be allowed to get married this year, let alone have the people that we want there.

‘But me and Joe have spoken about it. There are people in our lives who we don’t think we will, unfortunately, have much time left with.

‘So if worst comes to worst, and we can only have a wedding of six, then we will get married with those special people because it’s really important to us to have certain people there.’
