Matthew ‘Matty J’ Johnson shows off his daggy dancing while rehearsing for Dancing With The Stars

He’s set to star on the next season of Dancing With The Stars.

But Matthew ‘Matty J’ Johnson is going to have to practice pretty hard if he wants to shake off his daggy dance moves and win the competition.

In a post to his Instagram on Friday, the 33-year-old showed off his best moves – and the result is hilarious.

‘Hard to believe that only one of us is a professional,’ he humorously captioned the post, where he is seen trying to copy the moves of his dance partner, Ruby Gherbaz.

However, he was no match for the long-haired beauty, who was seen effortlessly moving her body to Earth, Wind & Fire’s song, September.

She was spotted perfectly moving her feet and shoulders to the beat in the clip, before twirling and singing along to the hit. 

The video then abruptly cut to Matty giving the dance his best efforts, who throws his hands up high and moves them as if he is shaking maracas. 

He kicks his feet out to each side and then twirls, before awkwardly shaking his body and shimmying his chest – all the while starring down the barrel of the camera’s lens.

‘It’s the kitten heel for me,’ fellow Bachelor star Jessica Brody comment about his shoes under his post.

‘Yassss recorder solo!!!!’ Tom Williams wrote, before Channel Seven’s Liz Cantor wrote: ‘I love this soooo much.’

Ruby shared the video to her Instagram Stories, with the caption: ‘We’ve got a looooong way to go.’

Her post followed another announcing the pair were working together on her Instagram on Wednesday.

‘Guess who had an extra rose up for grabs!’ Ruby referred to Matty’s appearance on The Bachelor in the caption. 

‘Our height may not be in sync but our booty shakes sure are!! You’ll be seeing Matty J and I take the stage on Dancing With The Stars this season and we can’t wait to show you our groovy moves.’
