Khloe Kardashian admits she ‘feels a responsibility’ to be a role model for her daughter True

Khloe Kardashian has admitted she ‘feels a responsibility’ to be a role model for her daughter True as she discussed the final season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

The reality star, who has starred in the series since its inception in 2007, told Cosmopolitan UK that since filming the show’s finale she’s learned how to ‘balance time’ between work and caring for her child.

Khloe said she wants to set a positive example for True, who turns three next month, by ‘spreading positivity,’ adding that she knows when to ‘take a break and disconnect’ to avoid the perils of social media.

Discussing whether she feels pressure to be a role model with her huge platform, Khloe said: ‘I feel like I have a responsibility to True, as well as to fans, to be that person who sets a good example and someone they can look up to.

‘It’s so rare to have the platform that I do, so I feel a responsibility to utilise it in a way that spreads positivity and sets good examples.’

Khloe added that while she was sad to film the final episode of KUWTK, she’s happy it’s given her the opportunity to find a better work-life balance to spend more time with her little girl.

She added: ‘Filming KUWTK was such an amazing experience and I’m so sad to see it come to an end.

‘I wouldn’t say that I ever considered quitting, but after having [my daughter] True, I had to learn to balance my time more because she is the most important person.

‘It was really just all about me learning to set more boundaries [and] manage my time, so I could still give her the attention she deserves.’

The star added that she and her siblings had no idea the series would air for 20 seasons, with its final run set to begin on Sunday.

She said: ‘We were supposed to just be a filler show without a second season, so when we were filming [season one] we just didn’t really think anything of it. And I think that’s what made it so much fun.

‘We’ve also had pretty much the same production crew throughout, so all of the memories and friendships created with them and my family over the years has been the best.’

Khloe added that despite documenting most of her life on social media, she knows when to take a step back, telling the publication: ‘I sometimes like to just take a break and disconnect because none of that actually matters in the real world.

‘I know who I am, and my friends and family know who I am, what my intentions are, and my heart. I’m peaceful with that, so nothing else matters.’

She continued: ‘I think, at this point, so many people know so much about me and everything occurring in my life that it’s difficult to overshare!

‘There are definitely points in some situations where boundaries have to be set, but overall my life’s always been a pretty open book.’

‘Whether it’s a long walk with my mom or sisters, or an intense workout, I find it’s so helpful to my mental health to stay active. Now, more than ever, it’s important for each of us to take time to do the things that make our minds and bodies feel good.’

It came just days after she revealed that they have made embryos for a second baby and described the efforts she had taken prior to the COVID-19 pandemic to expand her family during an interview on Sarah Hyland’s Lady Parts.

The star said: ‘We realised that my eggs aren’t strong enough to be frozen. They should be mixed immediately with sperm to make embryos. So I actually have made embryos.’

She explained how the pandemic put everything on hold: ‘And then, with COVID, finding this whole fertility process, if you do need assistance in fertility, it’s much more challenging during COVID.

‘They say, ‘If you wanna make God laugh, tell him your plans.’ So the one time I’m actually really trying to plan, God is saying, ‘Uh uh, you can’t make your plans like this!”

Khloe added that she wants True to grow up with siblings like she did, the star has sisters Kim, 40, Kourtney, 41, Kendall, 25, and Kylie, 23, as well as brother Rob, 33.
