Keeping Up With The Kardashians: Khloé Kardashian makes three embryos with Tristan Thompson

Khloé Kardashian made three embryos with Tristan Thompson via the IVF process on Thursday’s season 20 premiere of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

In the episode entitled Beginnings And Endings, the 36-year-old reality star also revealed she already knew the gender of her potential offspring.

‘I have one girl, and two boys,’ she told her sister Kim Kardashian, 40, declaring that she’d want to have the girl first so her two-year-old daughter True could have a sister.

Khloé was thrilled to learn she had been successful in creating three healthy embryos after her previous attempt at freezing eggs failed when they were thawed.

On a somber note, she had also been warned by her doctor that there was an 80 percent chance she might miscarry if she did try to carry embryos to term.

As Khloé debated whether to go forward with a surrogate, she committed to one more round of IVF treatments and gave herself up to six shots of fertility medications a day.

Tristan, 30, willingly donated sperm in the doctor’s office, though he and Khloé insisted that they were not in a romantic relationship.

In a preview of the show’s next episode, Khloé seemed put out with Scott Disick, 37, for commenting ‘Tristan is a lucky man’ on a social media photo of her.

‘I am gonna keep a lot of things more private,’ she told Tristan when he wondered about it.

Kim herself came under the spotlight in a preview of the final season, as her family noted that she didn’t want to address her relationship breakdown with husband Kanye West, 43.

‘I don’t know how she’s dealing with the stress of it all,’ said momager Kris Jenner, 65, as Kim was shown in another preview wailing, ‘I feel like a loser.’

As the episode opened, Kim was worried about passing the ‘baby bar,’ a seven-hour exam for those taking unorthodox routes to a law career.

Because Kim had been working with a law office to study the law, instead of attending a law school, she needed to pass the first-year’s test to gain credit for her classes.

It was all she could think about on a mini-holiday to Malibu with Kris, Khloé, Kourtney Kardashian, 41, and Scott, which happened as California’s coronavirus restrictions lightened.

The family rented a sprawling property owned by Kim’s friend Diana Jenkins, which served as a brief respite for Kim from the five weeks of studying she’d been doing.

For 10 to 12 hours a day, she ground through criminal law, contracts and torts, hoping to pass the baby bar on her first try just as her late father Robert Kardashian passed his bar exam.

‘It’s really public, so the whole world will know if you fail,’ Kim told her family, aware that just 20 percent of people passed.

Kim briefly mentioned that her kids were off in Wyoming as she studied, which meant they were on one of Kanye’s two ranches there.

She wore her ‘lucky pajamas’ to prep for the bar exam with her attorney-tutor via video, worrying that she might not fully grasp everything she memorized.

Kim ended up taking the test online at home in those PJs, with Depends nearby in case she had to pee because she couldn’t leave the room.

Once it was over, her best friend Allison Statter lured her to Kris’ house back in Calabasas under the pretense of visiting the momager.

Instead, Kim found her friends and law school mentors waiting to celebrate her, wearing masks that read, ‘I hope she passes!!’

They served cake with a photo of Kim studying in her PJs that said, ‘Congrats Kimi! So proud of you!’

Results wouldn’t be available for two months, but Kim had known the material and felt sure she’d passed.

‘We’re just hanging on to you because we want a really good attorney when we need one!’ Kris joked.

Back in Malibu, Khloé and Tristan spent more time together as the NBA season was on hold, and she noted what an ‘incredible father’ he’d been.

Khloé told Tristan she’d always wanted more kids, noting that Kim often DM’d her to say that True couldn’t play by herself ‘her whole life.’

‘True’s getting older, and I just feel like it’s now time to have another kid,’ Khloé conceded, as Tristan grinned and said he agreed.

He had always wanted four children and was open to donating sperm to make an embryo.

‘I’m excited,’  Tristan said in a confessional. ‘I know it’s one step forward and closer for us to get our family back together. She doesn’t have to do that, especially with me…but it’s great and amazing that she wants to take this step forward with our family.’

When Khloé heard none of her frozen eggs survived the thawing process, she knew she had to start the egg retrieval process all over again.

This time, they would make an embryo right away without freezing the eggs first.

The subsequent hormone injections Khloé needed to take made her feel unsteady but were needed to create healthier, more viable eggs and 12 were harvested.

During the procedure, however, there was ‘a little hiccup’ with her heart, and blood panels ordered by her docs found that she would be a ‘high-risk’ carrier for pregnancy.

‘I’m not going to get into specifics on camera,’ she told Kim, ‘but they said it’s like an 80-something percent chance that I will miscarry. I almost miscarried with True at the beginning, but I didn’t know that was a lingering thing.’

Khloé’s doctor had wanted her to know before having an embryo implanted; privately, Khloé called the news ‘hard to digest.’

Kim reassured her sister that she’d had an ‘amazing’ experience using a gestational surrogate for her two youngest children, and promised Khloé she’d still love them no matter what.

Khloé ended up with three embryos and ‘a 60 percent chance each one would take’; her next step would be to get them tested for abnormalities.

In another storyline, Scott revealed that he had ended things with Sofia Richie, 22, his girlfriend of three years, after she gave him an ultimatum to choose between either her or Kourtney.

Sofia moved out of Scott’s home during the coronavirus pandemic, which he’d partially attributed to her being tired of the ‘baggage’ that came with dating someone so close to his ex.

‘Life gets really weird when you’re living with someone, and your world just gets so small,’ Scott said to the cameras. ‘It definitely did create a problem between Sofia and I and I think we kind of saw some things in each other that weren’t us being on the same page.’

Scott admitted that he’d told Sofia taking care of Kourtney was one of his priorities, and that made Sofia feel like insecure, as though she wasn’t as important to him.

‘I don’t know,’ he said to Kourtney. ‘Are we just gonna grow old, just traveling the world with the kids, living one house down from each other, or together at one point?’

In a preview of the season, Scott hinted that he might propose to someone, but didn’t say who.

Kourtney privately observed that it was Scott’s choice to prioritize what he wished, but that they should each make sacrifices for new relationships.

‘I appreciate that he prioritizes me,’ Kourtney said in a confessional. ‘But I think the biggest thing is that I want him to prioritize himself.’

The Kardashians all felt that Scott was ‘hanging on’ to Kourtney, and sure enough things ‘took a turn’ for him after he gave Sofia one more chance on July Fourth.

‘She just started wanting to push Kourtney out,’ he told Kim and Khloé, adding that he’d then reiterated how important his children and the Kardashians were to him.

‘She was like, ”I don’t want to share you as a boyfriend with Kourtney”,’ Scott recounted. ‘And then she literally said with an ultimatum, ”You have to choose: Me or Kourtney”.’

‘It just became an impossible relationship to keep carrying on with,’ he concluded.

In a confessional, Scott added that he would never surrender his relationship with Kourtney.

‘Sometimes it’s time to just cut the cord,’ Kim said. ‘I get it.’
