‘Don’t do that!’ Today weatherman Tim Davies hyperventilates live on air as host Karl Stefanovic’s prank goes dangerously wrong
Today show weatherman Tim Davies nearly jumped out of his skin live on air when he was pranked by host Karl Stefanovic on Thursday morning.
He was arriving at Channel Nine’s North Sydney headquarters when Karl jumped out from behind a wall to scare him as part of a prank.
The two men are locked in an escalating prank challenge, but it seems Tim may soon be conceding defeat after his latest terrifying experience.
Oops: Tim Davies (pictured) nearly jumped out of his skin when he was pranked by Today’s Karl Stefanovic on Wednesday’s breakfast program. The weatherman was making his way to the studio, after being in a dare-off with the host and trying to scare his colleagues in lifts
The segment began with Tim wondering aloud if he was the only person at the office at such an early hour.
As he made his way through the building, Karl scared the living daylights out of by leaping out from behind a wall.
Tim was so shocked by the prank that he threw his clipboard to the ground and yelped: ‘Don’t do that!’
‘I am starting to wonder if there is actually anyone that is working here. I think Today show is the only team within Nine Entertainment that could potentially be at work this morning,’ a lonesome Tim explained, before making his way toward the studio
He then started hyperventilating and clutched his chest for a worrying moment.
But he confirmed he was okay a few seconds later by squatting to the ground to catch his breath and saying, ‘Karl wins the day…’
Meanwhile, the Today show team burst into laughter over in the main studio.
Payback: However, his attempts at scaring his peers were no match for Karl (right), who jumped out from behind a wall and frightened the living daylights out of Tim
‘Don’t do that!’: The handsome TV personality was so taken aback by the unexpected moment he jumped, threw his clip board on the ground, exclaimed ‘don’t do that!’ and started hyperventilating while holding his chest. He even squatted down for a breather
Karl’s co-host Allison Langdon was cackling an dramatically threw back her head.
The moment was so traumatic for Tim he had to craw back to the news desk as Allison reassured him it was ‘safe’ to come out.
‘Is it safe down here with your leg?’ he asked, before admitting he was ‘shaking’.

‘Can I sit on the couch and do the weather now like you guys do?’ he added.
Tim was so affected by the prank he forget whether he’d done his weather segment.
Looking confused at the camera, he simply said: ‘It’s wet. Get an app on your phone.’
