Married At First Sight’s Joanne Todd says it’s ‘the boys who are the b***hes’

Married At First Sight’s Joanne Todd says it’s ‘the boys who are the b***hes’ this season and there was ‘no backstabbing’ among the brides

There’s been no shortage of drama among the grooms on Married at First Sight.

And bride Joanne Todd has revealed it was the men who were responsible for most of the nastiness on this year’s season, not the women.

She told Who magazine the men were overwhelmingly the ‘b***hes’ of the cast.

In fact, the hairdresser said ‘there was no backstabbing or nastiness’ among the women on the show by comparison.

Joanne’s comments come after a number of skirmishes between the men on the show – particularly Bryce and Sam before the latter’s departure from the experiment.

During Wednesday’s dinner there was an altercation between Jake and Bryce, as well as between Patrick and Joanne’s ‘husband’ James.

Patrick took umbrage at James describing his ‘wife’ Belinda as sexually ‘frigid’.

Meanwhile, Joanne herself took a searing swipe at James following their dinner party clash on Wednesday’s episode.

The single mother told Who that James, 44, had an ego problem and insisted on making all the decisions in their relationship.

‘He would always choose which restaurant we would go to, he didn’t ask me where I would like to go, and if I said I’d like a steak, he’d try and suggest something else,’ she said.

‘If I said, “This is the best place to go”, he’d second guess me. He’d have to go and get a second opinion from the male concierge to see if I was right or not,’ she added.

Joanne claimed James had ‘good banter’ but the good times would rarely last.

The couple traded barbs over the dinner table on Wednesday’s episode, after James apparently disappeared from their apartment for two weekends in a row.

‘You’re a controlling freak. In front of everybody! You make yourself look good!’ she snapped.

‘You sit there with your smug face. You haven’t cared You’ve treated me like s**t!’

‘I’ve treated you like s**t?’ James replied sarcastically.

James then moved down the table and began openly flirting with new bride Kerry, cheekily declaring: ‘I’m single by the way!’

‘I came to this experiment to find someone that I could believe in. He doesn’t give a s**t about it,’ Joanne told producers.
