Starting the video in their large living room, Jim and Sarah showed off the bright, open space that is emphasised by the floor-to-ceiling windows.

The writer explained that they have chosen a green and pink colour scheme for their home as he showed off their dark green sofa that was decorated with pink pillows.

A small collage of photos were placed above the sofa to show off their favourite memories, though they admitted they were keen to add more as they’d only just started decorating the space after renovating the flat ‘was slow’.

Despite their concerns, one wall in the living room was painted salmon pink and featured two large bookshelves on either side of a built-in fireplace which had been filled potted plants.

Sarah said of the space in their video: ‘We had a disagreement because I wanted every single book shelf to have books but we didn’t have enough to fill all the shelves.

‘But, that’s okay because Jim will fill things with plants, and as I get more books it’ll be plants out books in.’

Jim then joked: ‘I’m very paternal, I need things to look after, and Sarah doesn’t like my plants.’

The couple then showed off their open-plan kitchen, and explained that they had knocked down the wall between it and the living room as it originally felt like ‘a big white box’ to them.

While they claimed the kitchen was small, they showed how they have tried to maximise space by having a wooden counter-top built in with shelves and other stylish shelving units.

Sarah added that she wanted to ‘pay tribute’ to their old building by including unique, old-fashioned furniture pieces including a large clock on the wall and an old cooker, which she said was her ‘favourite’ thing in the house.

The kitchen also had a dining table with a fitted bench that was decorated with a chic blue bee-print upholstery to one side, and a chalkboard painted on the wall for them to use for preparing meals.

‘We wanted to eat sustainably and have less meat, so I will write up what we have so I know what we have so it doesn’t go off,’ Sarah explained, as she showed off her recipes. ‘Jim can look and say “oh I like that that’s what I’ll have for dinner.”‘

Heading upstairs, the couple showed off the third bedroom that they had converted into an office for Jim, which featured a stunning forest green colour scheme.

The office space was decorated with prints and comic books as a nod to Jim’s childhood hobbies, while he also had an old writing desk as a special memento from his step-dad.

Describing the room, Jim said he liked how he designed it as it was ‘messy, eclectic, but also it’s creative’.

Moving on to the downstairs bathroom, the couple explained how they retiled and repainted the entire room, again with a pink and green theme which Jim said he thinks creates a nice ‘aesthetic’.

Jim explained that they don’t really use that bathroom very much and it is mostly for guests but that sometimes he will indulge in the occasional bath.

The pair then showed off their stunning bedroom in the attic which had been  converted before they moved in.

They then had wardrobes installed, changed the flooring and opted for grey walls as well as choosing white for the door frames and bed.

Speaking about the bold wall colour Jim said: ‘It makes it cosy, this is a really big space and we’ve got lots of light coming from the spotlight above so I wanted it to still feel cosy. I think it’s a really lovely colour.’

Moving on to the ensuite, they explained how they chose pink tiles on the floor and green on the side panels as well as grey cabinets.

Jim and Sarah are currently expecting their first baby and announced the happy news at the start of this month.
