Tess Daly is launching an eco-friendly luxury swimwear line made from recycled fishing nets

Strictly Come Dancing star Tess Daly has unveiled her luxury swimwear brand Naia Beach – which includes a line made from recycled fishing nets.

The presenter revealed her new line to fans earlier this week on her Instagram, after working on designs during lockdown with her friend and business partner Gayle Lawton.

The swimwear, which Tess says was inspired by a trip to the Maldives, put comfort at the fore, as well as being eco-friendly, with much of the nylon used coming from abandoned fishing nets.

The luxury swimsuits and bikinis don’t come cheap though, retailing at £120 for a one-shoulder bikini and £130 for a one-piece.

Excited fans of the star said they couldn’t wait for their next beach holiday to give the swimsuits a try.

Tess’s website boasts that nearly three quarters of the black swimwear is made from ‘abandoned or spent fishing nets.’ Discarded plastic and textiles have also been used.

Tess, 51 – married to I’m a Celebrity star Vernon Kay, 46 – boasted the green products from the sustainable part of her range are her favourites.

She said: ‘Me and my longtime friend Gayle have worked so hard to realise our dream of launching our collection of luxurious beachwear.

‘We’re really proud of the results and hope you love it as much as we do.
