Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveals extraordinary cost of her Candy Crush ‘addiction’

Radio presenter Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has revealed her ‘addiction’ to popular iPhone game Candy Crush is costing her $90 each week.

She revealed her extraordinary habit on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday when KIIS FM staffers noticed she was ‘very unfocused’ on air.

Executive producer Sonia ‘Palestine‘ Jahshan said Jackie’s fixation with the puzzle game was driving the team ‘insane’ because she wasn’t paying attention to the show.

‘We’re trying to brief you on the segment or Pedro [Vitola, senior producer] is playing you grabs and you’re just not paying any attention,’ Palestine said. 

‘Pedro and I have figured out what it was that you were doing, and it’s bloody Candy Crush! Instead of listening to us, you’re playing Candy Crush!’

An embarrassed Jackie confessed she was ‘such a loser’ for playing the game, then revealing how much she was spending weekly on in-app purchases.

‘I can’t help it. I’m so addicted to this Candy Crush and I’m actually spending hard earned money on the game,’ she said.

‘I reckon I’m spending $80 or $90 a week on it, because if you can’t get through to a level, they’ll block you out for a period of time, unless you pay to keep trying to get through to that level,’ she explained.

‘Then there’s these extra things you can do to help you complete that level, but you pay for it.’

Jackie, who is on level 455 of Candy Crush, revealed her addiction has become so bad she even secretly plays the game during phone-in segments.

Palestine and the other KIIS FM producers have now come up with a strategy to interrupt Jackie when she’s playing Candy Crush on the job.

They call her on a private number whenever they spot her looking under the desk. 

One staffer said: ‘How embarrassing you’re addicted to Candy Crush. If you’re going to be addicted at least be addicted to something fun, like heroin!’
