Eddie Izzard transformed into a lawyer named Harry as she was seen filming a new Netflix thriller series in Manchester on Wednesday, after she revealed she alternates between ‘girl mode or boy mode’.
The transgender comedian, 59, sported a suit as she shot scenes alongside actress Cush Jumbo, 35, who portrays a working mother-of-three called Megan.
Stay Close – based on Harlan Coben’s 2012 novel of the same title – follows the lives of three regular individuals, who are all hiding dark secrets.

Activist Eddie opted for a sharp appearance as she styled her smart co-ords with a white shirt, a burgundy tie and brogues.
Screen star Cush, meanwhile, cut an elegant figure in a pale blue coat, a pink blouse and brown, wide-leg trousers.
The plot will see Megan, out-of-work photographer Ray (Richard Armitage) and detective Broome (James Nesbitt) deal with the skeletons in their cupboards.

Viewers will also see Cutting It star Sarah Parish, Small Axe’s Daniel Francis and stand-up comedian Andi Osho play Megan’s friend Lorraine, her partner Dave and Simona, respectively.
Created by author Harlan, TV executive Nicola Shindler, screenwriter Danny Brocklehurst and producer Richard Fee, filming for the series kicked off last month and Netflix is yet to reveal a release date.
Eddie’s appearance comes after she stated her gender is ‘elastic’ in a new interview with Radio Times.

The media personality explained: ‘I go in girl mode or boy mode, which I see as a superhero thing.’
While discussing the use of pronouns, the TV star also insisted: ‘It’s no big deal’ as she detailed in which circumstances she would be in different ‘modes.’
Eddie revealed she was a transvestite nearly four decades ago, before considering herself as trans.
Appearing on Sky’s Portrait Artist of the Year last year, the writer was referred to as ‘she’ and ‘her’ and has now clarified that she is gender ‘elastic.’
The A Day in the Death of Joe Egg star added: ‘I go in girl mode or boy mode, which I see as a superhero thing.
‘On that show [Sky’s Portrait Artist of the Year], they asked what pronouns I preferred, and I said: “Well, I’m here in girl mode and if you’re asking, she and her would be great.”
‘It’s no big deal. It’s elastic, not hard and fast. I’m still gender-fluid. I’m still performing male roles in dramas, in boring mode. But stand-up, activism and endurance running are all girl mode.’
