Theory claims influencers DON’T use a mirror to take mirror selfies

Everyone has wondered how influencers manage to get flawless mirror selfies at the perfect angle without any smudges, while you’re unable to replicate the same frames at home.

But savvy social media users think that they have the answer as they have claimed that influencers don’t actually use a mirror to take their flawless snaps.

A theory shared on Reddit has caused uproar across Twitter after it was claimed that influencers are actually using another camera to take their selfies, rather than a mirror.

It was explained that influencers put another camera or a phone on a tripod opposite them and use the self-timer on that device to take the picture, while they simply hold their other mobile phone in their hand as a prop.

The Reddit user wrote: ‘Ever since I found out influencers don’t actually use mirrors but just another camera when taking “mirror” selfies, my life has not known peace.’

People have been left completely gobsmacked after the shocking revelation, saying they felt ‘bamboozled’ by the ‘fake’ mirror pictures.

One person commented: ‘Sorry, but I don’t know how to process the fact influencers are faking mirror pictures.’
