Meanwhile, a well-placed insider said that after leaving the experiment in October, Cameron decided that Coco wasn’t the right fit for him.

‘Cam moved back to the Gold Coast and they spoke a few times before Christmas, but he wasn’t keen to pursue anything,’ the source said.

He apparently ‘ghosted’ Coco, and their short-lived romance will be discussed at the forthcoming cast reunion.

During Daily Mail Australia’s stakeout of the MAFS reunion last month, Coco and Cam arrived separately and kept their distance.

Cam arrived with Russell Duance, who also quit the experiment on Sunday night.

The two men were joined by James Susler, who is ‘married’ to Joanne Todd, fuelling speculation he will also leave the show early.

It comes after Cameron admitted on Sunday night’s episode that there was ‘obviously a connection’ between him and Coco.

‘It’s hard to ignore and it’s probably not the right thing to be doing, but it’s hard to ignore that,’ he said. ‘Feelings are feelings but I don’t know where it goes from here.’

Married At First Sight continues on Monday at 7.30pm on Nine
