Lili Reinhart models a swimsuit like a Varga Girl from the 1940s

Pinup Lili Reinhart shared some very glamorous photos to her Instagram account on Monday.

The Riverdale star looked like a movie queen in the line of Marilyn Monroe or Rita Hayworth with her blonde hair styled in soft waves and her lips painted ruby red.

In the actress’ caption she noted the look she was going for was ‘Golden Age’ Hollywood dazzle.  

The looker was in a white pool cabana as she wore a hushed light pink swimsuit with a large cloth flower behind her ear in the same color.

The photos were taken by Kylie Jenner’s friends Sasha Samsonova with her styling was by Elizabeth Stewart and hair by David Stanwell with makeup by Jenna Kristina.

The results were powerful with the images showing off her pretty face and toned, slender body at the same time. 

It has been a difficult year for the beauty as she mourned the death of her grandfather in January.

The star took to social media over the weekend to confirm her grandfather had died ‘a few days ago’, as she said she was heartbroken that she has been unable to visit her family during the tough time because of the coronavirus pandemic.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘A few days ago, I lost my grandpa.

‘It breaks my heart that I can’t be with my family during this time, as we experience this loss.

‘But I’m remembering him on my own, as a simple man from Ohio who loved his Cleveland sports teams and who fell asleep in front of the tv watching old western films. He was married to my grandma for 61 years and always called her ‘babe’, which I thought was the sweetest thing.

‘I wish I could’ve seen him one last time but I’ll forever hold him in my heart. Love you, grandpa.’

Alongside her post, Lili shared a black and white photo of her grandfather, which was taken when he was younger.

And following her post, Lili’s friends took to social media to pay their respects, including her ‘Riverdale’ co-stars Madelaine Petsch and Camila Mendes.

Madelaine commented ‘love you’ with a heart emoji while Camila also added a heart emoji in her own comment.

Lili’s devastating loss comes as she has been open in the past about her battle with mental health, and shared her trials in a poetry book she wrote titled ‘Swimming Lessons’.

Speaking about the project in September, she said: ‘If I’m going through something – depression, anxiety, a breakup – I need to talk about it. I’ll talk to my friends for hours, I’ll write about it for pages and pages in my journal, I’ll write countless poems about it.’
