The Celebrity Circle’s Nadia Sawalha and Kaye Adams are BLOCKED from the show after failing to convince stars they were Gemma Collins

Nadia Sawalha and Kaye Adams were blocked in the final minutes of The Celebrity Circle on Friday after they failed to convince their fellow celebrities that they were Gemma Collins.

The Loose Women duo aroused Denise Van Outen’s suspicion when they failed to spell TOWIE star Amy Childs’ name correctly on Thursday’s episode.

And following multiple rounds of voting ping pong, Nadia and Kaye waved goodbye to their Salford apartment as they exited the social media game show.

‘When you mess up the spelling of one of the most famous faces from the original cast of TOWIE, there’s an issue,’ Denise, 46, said as she cast her vote during Blocking.

Charlotte Crosby – who plays Peter Andre – gasped while Nadia, 56, exclaimed: ‘No!’ in reaction to the WestEnd star’s decision.

Meanwhile Pete Wicks – who plays Rachel Riley with Sam Thompson – added: ‘We’re almost dead certain that Gemma is a catfish, she’s formed an alliance with Big Narstie. Neither of them are in our girl power group, it’s got to be Gemma [to go]’.

The Celebrity Circle would not allow a contestant to be blocked from the show until all stars reached an unanimous verdict.

However, Lady Leshurr – playing as Big Narstie – was adamant she was voting for Saffron Barker after believing she was a catfish.

The other celebrities continued by repeating their vote and went round in circles as Lady Leshurr, 32, stood firm in her decision.

The Celebrity Circle ultimately overruled the back-and-fourth voting, concluding a majority verdict would seal the fate of the highest voted contestant.

As a result, Nadia, and Kaye, 58, were blocked from the programme.

Their fall from grace began the evening prior when Nadia made an epic gaffe when she referenced Gemma’s real-life TOWIE co-star Amy Childs – mistakenly calling her Amy Chiles.

The error – which took place during a group chat – immediately raised the suspicions of the rest of the contestants.

The following morning, Denise – playing as herself – and Sam and Pete asked her about the blunder.

Nadia was seen insisting she had got Amy’s surname right, with Kaye left fuming with her after insisting the day before that her name was ‘Childs’.

Nadia – who had brought Gemma’s autobiography into the flat with her as a reference – double-checked the book, to find out she was wrong and Kaye was right.

Kaye was left fuming at the revelation.

Following this, Denise started up a private chat with ‘Rachel’ to compare notes.

Denise was convinced, however, that Rachel was really her, rather than Pete and Sam in disguise.

The Celebrity Circle continues on Sunday at 9pm on Channel 4.
