Jennifer Lopez posts a photo of her daughter Emme, 13, crying amid split from Alex Rodriguez

Jennifer Lopez took to Instagram to share an emotional photo of her 13-year-old daughter Emme, shortly after it was reported she had ‘ended’ her engagement to fiance Alex Rodriguez.

In the intimate snap, Emme could be seen crying in her father Marc Anthony’s arms, while on a FaceTime call with the 51-year-old superstar.

‘When they are sad but momma and daddy are there #coconuts,’ Lopez captioned the post.

Lopez continued: ‘I love you!! So proud of you.’ 

Emme, whose twin brother Max was not pictured, was visibly upset as she held hands with her dad in the screen shot of their FaceTime call with Jennifer.

Lopez’s children became very close to Rodriguez’s two daughters, Natasha, 14, and ten-year-old Ella, whom he shares with ex-wife Cynthia Rodriguez.  

In 2018, Lopez gushed their little ones ‘have become best friends’ and said she and Rodriguez ‘couldn’t have asked for anything better than the four of them getting along as they do.’ 

On Friday news broke that the On The Floor hitmaker and her fiancé allegedly ended their four-year romance.

TMZ noted that the reported split is still fresh as the power duo broke up on Friday morning while People shared: ‘This has been a long time coming.’  

The two superstars were last seen looking happy in late February in the Dominican Republic as she shoots her film Shotgun Wedding with Josh Duhamel. 

Dailymail.com has not yet heard back from Lopez or Rodrguez’s reps for comment.

‘He’s now in Miami getting ready for baseball season, and she’s filming her movie in the Dominican Republic,’ a source told PageSix. 

Rodriguez was seen alone in Miami on a yacht on Friday. ‘Don’t mind me, just taking a sail-fie… What are your plans for the weekend?’ he captioned his Instagram post. 

The outlet added their source heard earlier this week that they were ‘on the rocks and headed for Splitsville.’ 

Later, the site added that they ‘broke up’ over his friendship with Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy. ‘The Madison LeCroy scandal was the reason they finally broke up. There were already problems, but Jennifer was really embarrassed by it.’ 

In February there seemed to be some issues with J-Rod when LeCroy claimed she spoke with Rodriguez over the phone. 

Fans have been speculating over the identity of the married, ex-MLB player LeCroy had been accused of being in contact with, and suspicions arose the person could have been Rodriguez, despite him not being married and only engaged at the time to Jennifer.

However, in an interview with Page Six, LeCroy revealed she had been in communication with Rodriguez, but said their exchanges were ‘innocent.’

LeCroy told the website that she and Rodriguez ‘never met up’, but had ‘spoken on the phone.’

‘That’s the truth,’ she said, clarifying they had ‘never been physical… never had any kind of anything. Just an acquaintance.’

LeCroy insisted Rodriguez had ‘never physically cheated’ on Jennifer with her.

She described the phone calls as inconsistent, and said they had only spoken to each other ‘randomly.’

While she would not reveal what was discussed, she described it as ‘innocent.’

The allegations occurred during a recent Southern Charm reunion, and the name of the individual LeCroy was allegedly in contact with had been bleeped out.

LeCroy says the name concealed was Rodriguez’s, but she was the one who requested his name withheld.   

‘I have tried to be as quiet as possible. I don’t want anything bad for his family, or for mine. We are definitely innocent in this,’ she said.

She also would not reveal when the alleged phone calls occurred.

Rumors spread within her inner circle because she ‘told the wrong person’ about who she had been in contact with.

‘All this stuff was a year ago [but] it’s being aired now,’ she said.

A source with knowledge of the situation previously told DailyMail.com: ‘Alex has never met or spoken to Madison or anyone from the show.’

The explosive allegations all came to light on a recent Southern Charm episode, where LeCroy was accused of sleeping with an unidentified, married ex-MLB player. LeCroy denied ever seeing the man in person, though did admit to DM-ing him.

LeCroy was accused of getting intimate with a married former athlete. However, Rodriguez is not married, and has been engaged since 2019. 

The identity of the individual was concealed, but Southern Charm star Danni Baird subsequently alleged on the Reality Life with Kate Casey that the person was Rodriguez. 

DailyMail.com has contacted respective representatives for both Rodriguez and LeCroy, who did not respond to comment. 

‘She had even told me that they were FaceTiming or something,’ Baird said on the show. 

Meanwhile, a source for the New York Post also insisted Rodriguez did not know or hook up with LeCroy. 

‘He doesn’t know this woman,’ the insider said. ‘Look, does this mean he didn’t DM her and liked a photo or two? I guess not, but he doesn’t know her — and he definitely didn’t hook up with her.’  

Jennifer and Alex – who called each other Macha and Macho, respectively – had delayed their wedding twice citing it was due to lockdown from COVID-19. 

She said last year: ‘We had to cancel the wedding … because of COVID, because of the quarantine. And we actually did it twice, which people don’t know.’   

The Maid In Manhattan star told Allure magazine: ‘It was a big deal. We had been planning for months and months and months, and it was overseas. Maybe it wasn’t the right time.’

And the Hustlers actress said that she worried she and Alex won’t be able to ‘re-create’ their dream wedding after they were forced to put their plans on hold due to the pandemic.

She said: ‘We postponed the wedding twice. We had planned what we really, really wanted to do, [but] I don’t know if we’ll be able to re-create that. We cancelled it, and since then we haven’t really talked about it. There’s no rush. 

‘We want to do it right when we can do it. We just have to wait to see where the world lands … Oh yeah, we’ve talked about [not getting married] for sure. I mean at our age, we’ve both been married before, it’s like, do we get married? Do we not? What does it mean for us? And it’s just, it comes down to like personal, like, what do you want to do?’

The two have been living together for the past four years as they co-parent her twins and his daughters from a previous relationship. 

Jennifer was wed to Ojani Noa from 1997 until 1998. She was then married to dancer Cris Judd from 2001 until 2003. And her marriage to singer Marc Anthiny lasted for 10 years, from 2004 until 2014. She dated Diddy and was engaged to Ben Affleck.
