Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez say they are working to save their relationship just weeks after they appeared happy in love during their last official public outing at President Joe Biden‘s inauguration.
The celebrity couple confirmed they are ‘working things through’ on Saturday following reports they had called off their two-year engagement after four years together.
The news caught fans by surprise as the pair had been the picture of love just weeks earlier when Rodriguez was spotted alongside Lopez at the president’s inauguration in Washington, where she performed on the West Front of the US Capitol.
And just two weeks later, the power couple were spotted together again attending the Super Bowl in Tampa, Florida.

Rodriguez had shared a video at the time walking from their private jet as he asked Lopez who she thought was going to win the game.
The two were last pictured together as recently as two weeks ago, when JLo and A-Rod shared photos kissing in the Dominican Republic, where the singer is filming her new movie, Shotgun Wedding, with Josh Duhamel.
But Lopez and Rodriguez have apparently gone their separate ways since.
On Thursday, just a day before news of their split broke, Lopez shared a post from the Caribbean country saying: ‘Find a good reason to laugh today.’
Meanwhile, Rodriguez posted a picture of himself aboard a boat in Florida.
While the news caught many fans by surprise, sources claimed the split had apparently been in the works for a while.
‘This has been a long time coming,’ a source told People magazine.
‘They are tied in their business worlds so it’s not a cut and dry break up. It’s taken a while for them to even think about untangling it all.’

Lopez revealed late last year that the couple had postponed their wedding twice because of the coronavirus pandemic.
They were also reported to have purchased a $32.5million mansion in Miami’s Star Island in August.
According to sources close to the couple, the pair allegedly decided to call it quits over the former baseball star’s alleged relationship with Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy, 30.
Rodriguez’s links to reality star first came to light during a Southern Charm reunion in January when LeCroy was accused of having been in contact with a ‘married’ and ex-MLB player in Miami whose name had been bleeped out.
She later admitted in an interview she had been communicating with Rodriguez but insisted their exchanges were ‘innocent.’ Reps for Rodriguez claimed the pair had never even met.
In the wake of the news Friday, LeCroy’s co-star Shep Rose also claimed LeCroy had signed a non-disclosure agreement, suggesting some damage control may have been done following their alleged communication.

Lopez and Rodriguez, however, had appeared to have weathered the scandal, having attended the presidential inauguration together that same month and sharing sweet photos as recently as late February.
The two began dating in 2017 and announced their engagement in March 2019 during a getaway to the Bahamas where the athlete surprised her with a large diamond ring.

The singer, 51, took to her Instagram Story to share the emotional photo where she admitted: ‘When they are sad but momma and daddy are there.’
In the photo shared to her Instagram Story, Emme, whose twin brother Max was not pictured, could be seen crying into her father Marc’s arms as he comforted her.
Rodriguez appeared to brush off the reports as he shared a picture of himself alone on a yacht in Miami on Friday, which he captioned: ‘Don’t mind me, just taking a sail-fie… What are your plans for the weekend?’
