Grant Denyer reveals he and his wife Chezzi forgot how to care for a baby wondered ‘what have we done?’ when they welcomed their newborn

Grant and Chezzi Denyer welcomed their third child, daughter, Sunday Mary Mae, last month.

Although they already have two older daughters, the couple admitted to this weeks’ issue of Stellar that they’d forgotten what it’s like to have a newborn.

The first night home from the hospital, I turned to Grant and said, ‘I can’t believe we forgot how little babies sleep! What have we done?” Chezzi, 41, told the magazine.

Happy family: Grant and Chezzi Denyer have revealed that they had forgotten what it’s like to have a newborn at home when they welcomed baby daughter Sunday Mary Mae last month. Pictured with their children

Chezzi went on to say that she needed some advice from nursing staff when it came to the new baby.

‘We had to get the nurses to show us how to swaddle the baby in the hospital because we couldn’t remember!’ she admitted.

Grant, 43, added: ‘We literally had no furniture, no clothes, no cot and no pram in the minutes leading up to the birth.

‘We just had the confidence of knowing the other two survived. So we’re not completely useless.’

The couple have since settled into being new parents all over again, with Grant explaining: ‘I think because we’re in the moment, we’re enjoying it more.’

The pair have two older daughters, Sailor, nine, and Scout, five.

Earlier this week, they shared their new arrival’s first milestone as she reached one month old, with Chezzi sharing a photo of baby Sunday to Instagram.

‘One whole month together. Little Sunday Mary Mae Denyer, you were the piece missing from our puzzle. Time is going too fast,’ Chezzi wrote.

A week after welcoming her newborn, Chezzi revealed she had a difficult pregnancy with Sunday.

‘For nine months I felt nauseated, for nine months I felt unwell, for nine months I threw up, for nine months I needed medication to help me survive. I felt exhausted. I felt dizzy at times. I just felt yuck,’ she wrote.

However, it appears her daughter’s birth brought with her a new light for Chezzi, who has since said she feels ‘sensational’.

‘A little bit sore still from my Caesarean, but I’m not sick anymore and that feels AMAZING!’ she added.
