Married At First Sight’s Jessika Power on rekindled friendship with Martha Kalifatidis

Married At First Sight’s Jessika Power gushes about her rekindled friendship with ‘her rock’ Martha Kalifatidis – but admits things are still sour with rival Cyrell Paule after wine toss drama

Jessika Power and Martha Kalifatidis were best friends during their time on Married At First Sight, only to fall out after the show aired.

But since rekindling their friendship, Jessika insists that the pair are still going strong despite her ongoing issues with Cyrell Paule.

Speaking to the Unpopular podcast, Jess said that mending things with Martha was ‘the best thing’ to come from the recent Grand Reunion special.

‘When I came off the show I was just a nasty, abrasive b***h who would just say the worst things,’ the 29-year-old admitted.

‘I was influenced by other people… I’m not gonna say who, but I influenced to lean more towards disliking [Martha], just from little things I’d heard.’

She continued: ‘I was very grateful that I could mend that relationship with her, because Martha was my rock.

‘Regardless of whether or not we’re going to be lifelong friends she will always have a place in my heart.’

Despite fixing things with Martha, Jess insisted that nothing had changed between herself and Cyrell after Cyrell threw a glass of wine on her at the Grand Reunion.

The blonde influencer went on to say that the mother-of-one was ‘made to leave’ both nights of the reunion special because of her behaviour.

'Regardless of whether or not we're going to be lifelong friends she will always have a place in my heart,' she added

‘She didn’t decide to leave either, the reunion or the next night, the second part of the reunion.

‘She was made to leave because that’s how volatile she got.’ she added.

Jess claimed that castmate Sarah Roza had to intervene in the drama during the dinner party, because Cyrell wanted to get ‘a reaction’ out of her to justify their feud.

‘She wanted the reaction of me being on her level of immaturity and I didn’t give it to her, and that would’ve made her so much more angry.’

She added: ‘Imagine her son watching that one day.’

Despite Jessika’s repeated attempts to diffuse the situation by moving away, Cyrell followed her around the dinner table until eventually hurling wine at her.

While Jess was able to make up with Martha at the reunion special, Cyrell has since said that the pair’s friendship is ‘fake’.

‘I kid you not those two were bitching and fighting about each other for two years straight and then at the reunion they were like “babe how are you”,’ Cyrell raged to The Sun this week.

‘I cannot understand the fakeness. Since the reunion they have started talking again.’
