Chums was based on sitcom Friends, and featured on Ant, Dec and Cat’s Saturday morning kids’ show.

The brief reboot is said to be happening on the March 20 episode of Saturday Night Takeaway, with a source telling The Sun: ‘This is the reunion SM:TV fans have been calling for. It’s going to be epic.’

MailOnline has approached ITV for comment.

Chums took part on a set that mimicked Monica’s apartment from Friends – a replica of which is reportedly being built on the Saturday Night Takeaway stage currently.

Chums was on between 1998 and 2001 and featured regular appearances by celebrity guest stars.
