He scooped the coveted Best Actor prizes at the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice ceremony for his portrayal as Prince Charles in Netflix hit The Crown. 

But Josh O’Connor opted for a low-key appearance amid his award season success as he stepped out in north London earlier this week.

The screen star, 30, dressed down in a hooded jumper as he fuelled up on coffee during a stroll.

Cutting a casual figure, the thespian styled his sweatshirt with a Carhartt vest-jacket and straight-leg jeans.

The Les Misérables star maintained his sporty display in the footwear department as he rounded off his outfit with chunky black trainers.

Just a few days earlier, Josh joined his co-star Emma Corrin – who portrays the late Princess Diana – to pick up the Best Actress in a Drama Series and Best Actor in a Drama accolades at this year’s Critics’ Choice.

The series, which chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth II from the 1940s onward, also earned the Best Drama Series trophy – just as it did at the Globes. 

The Southampton native recently said he is ‘delighted’ that Prince Harry has watched the regal drama.

Speaking with James Corden in an interview, the Duke of Sussex, 36, said The Crown is ‘fictional’ but is ‘loosely based on the truth’ and captures the feeling of being expected to put ‘duty and service above family and everything else’.

‘I’m delighted. I’m delighted that he watches it. I think anyone who watches it is a great… you know, that’s what we’re there for’, a proud Josh told ET Online.

The TV star also reflected on the royal’s claim that he’d love Damian Lewis to portray him in the show, detailing: ‘Oh, I love Damian Lewis, he’s great! I think the great thing about The Crown is we put together great casts.

‘I’m so excited for the next season and everyone who’s involved in that, and I’m sure that if it comes to Damian Lewis, it’ll probably be a pretty good bit of casting.’
