Paul made the three albums during different periods of isolation, the latest of which was the result of lockdown amid the coronavirus crisis.

McCartney III Imagined is set to be released in physical formats, including exclusive colour vinyl editions available at Target, Barnes & Noble, Indie record stores, Newbury Comics, and Paul McCartney’s own website.

As well as the aforementioned tracks, the physical editions of the album will also include an exclusive bonus track of Idris Elba’s re-imagined version of  Long Tailed Winter Bird.

Last month it was revealed the singer was releasing a new book titled The Lyrics, which will see him recount his life through the 154 songs he’s written.

In it Sir Paul will reflect on his life, from his boyhood to the present day, based on the compositions in the particular period of time in the 900-page autobiography, which has been long-awaited among Beatles fans.

Gushing about the project, Sir Paul, who has enlisted the help of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Paul Mundoon for the book, said: ‘I hope that what I’ve written will show people something about my songs and my life which they haven’t seen before.

‘I’ve tried to say something about how the music happens and what it means to me and I hope what it may mean to others too.’

He went on: ‘More often than I can count, I’ve been asked if I would write an autobiography, but the time has never been right…

‘The one thing I’ve always managed to do, whether at home or on the road, is to write new songs. I know that some people, when they get to a certain age, like to go to a diary to recall day-to-day events from the past, but I have no such notebooks…

‘What I do have are my songs, hundreds of them, which I’ve learned serve much the same purpose. And these songs span my entire life’
