Pfizer Inc and BioNTech SE’s coronavirus vaccine is effective at blocking both symptomatic and asymptomatic cases of infection, a new study finds.

The Israeli Ministry of Health said on Thursday revealed on Thursday that the COVID-19 was 97 perfect effective at preventing symptomatic cases, hospitalizations and deaths.

What’s more, the jab was 94 percent effective at preventing cases that didn’t involve classic symptoms such as a cough, fever or shortness of breath. 

‘This clearly demonstrates the power of the Covid-19 vaccine to fight this virus,’ Yeheskel Levy, director of the health ministry, said in a statement. 

‘We aim to achieve even higher uptake in people of all ages, which gives us hope of regaining normal economic and social function in the not-so-distant future.’
