Married At First Sight groom Jason Engler is quickly becoming a fan favourite on the social experiment as his marriage with Alana Lister continues to heat up.

But an eagle-eyed viewer of the show has spotted that it’s not the 35-year-old’s first time looking for love on the hit Channel Nine show.

On Wednesday, a fan shared a photo of the construction estimator almost being paired with season five bride Charlene Perera, as the experts tried to find her perfect match.

The viewer wrote in the caption of their Facebook post: ‘After tonight’s dinner party I was craving more MAFS so I watched a random season five episode and look who I found when the experts were scrolling through for Charlene.’

Other’s commented on the hilarious find, including one who joked: ‘So he finally made it lol.’

‘OMG YESSS I bloody knew it,’ another said, as a third wrote: ‘Yes! Thought he looked familiar!’  

‘S5?? That was a life time ago,’ a viewer commented.

On Tuesday, sexologist Alessandra Rampolla push this year’s couples to new limits with a series of intimacy building exercises.

In an attempt to help Jason and Alana form a ‘deeper connection’ with each other, Alessandra, 46, tasked the couple with a series of exercises.

Observing the raunchy exercise from just a few metres away, Alessandra told them: ‘It’s just cupping, there should be no caressing. Just kind of have your hand over each other’s genitals.’ 

She added: ‘It’s a different level of intimacy to maintain eye contact this close to one another.’

The intimacy task proved to be a success, with the Brisbane construction estimator left feeling overwhelmed and teary.

‘You’re being vulnerable emotionally also, and breathe it out,’ Alessandra urged Jason.

She then encouraged Jason to not hold back and let his emotions do the talking.

‘Don’t [stop], if [you’re tearing up] it’s because there’s something that your body wants to let out, and that’s beautiful to share,’ she said.
