And while Jennifer Garner was at the forefront of the new family flick, she caused some hilarious problems on-set when she conquered her fear of rollercoasters.

Agh! Jennifer Garner was at the forefront of the new family flick, she caused some hilarious problems on-set when she conquered her fear of rollercoasters

Jennifer is currently blazing the promo trail for the movie, in which she stars opposite Édgar Ramírez, Jenna Ortega and Julian Lerner.

The movie is based on Amy Krouse Rosenthal’s 2009 book Yes Days! and plays out the family’s day run by the kids. The book is described as ‘a funny look at the one day of the year that can compete with Christmas for children’s affection’.

In behind-the-scenes snippets shared on Ellen’s show, Jennifer was seen screaming while the rollercoaster went around and she sat next to her on-screen daughter, played by Jenner, who held her hand on the ride.

She explained that amid her swearing and screams, she was uttering Jenna’s real name rather than her on-screen name Katie.

Jennifer, who shares Violet, 15, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel, nine, with ex Ben Affleck, said: ‘ I am so petrified of rollercoasters – I was a producer of this stinking movie we couldn’t even use the footage because I was cursing!…

‘I was using Jenna’s real name! I was making a bargain with god, my adrenaline was going nuts and I was crying and he said right next take.’

She said of the movie and story: ‘The movie is based on Yes Days! from the book Amy Krouse Rosenthal who understood what kids want on a new level…

‘It’s a day the kids say yes to whatever kids want. In my family it’s more giving them a lot of attention – starting with ice cream and ending in the garden in a tent.’

On a more kooky element of her lockdown, she also revealed she had given a name to a fire hydrant and even dressed up the inanimate object.

She said: ‘My daughter and I were going on walks and we passed this fire hydrant and started calling it Gloria and she looked like she needed her personality set free…

‘We dressed it up. I hope that’s not against the law. It was my daughter’s idea – take her to jail. Gloria was the only one who told me her name!’
