Chrissy Teigen reveals she was ‘in the emergency room’ before wishing Jen Atkin a happy birthday

Chrissy Teigen has always gone out of her way to make her friends feel appreciated, whether it’s sending them PR packages or letting them tag along on lavish vacations.

And the model, 35, took her devotion to friendship up a notch as she published a birthday tribute to hairstylist pal Jen Atkin following an emergency room visit.

‘@jenatkinhair photo dump. sorry for the delay I was in the emergency room I hope that’s ok. Happy birthday!!!!!!!!!!’ captioned Teigen, who did not disclose the reason behind her impromptu trip to the ER.

Included with her brief caption were a slew of snapshots of herself and Atkin, who does hair for the likes of Kim Kardashian and Gigi Hadid. 

One of the snaps showed Chrissy and Jen rocking contrasting mini dresses as they posed atop some outdoor steps, while another showed the celebrity hairstylist in action.

One particularly cute shot featured Teigen in a mint toned jumpsuit as she posed playfully next to Atkin in the mirror. 

Teigen also included a few images of Atkin bonding with her and husband John Legend’s two kids, daughter Luna and son Miles. 

Mixed among the bunch were some photos of Chrissy, John, Jen, and Jen’s husband enjoying some fun times together over the years.

After uploading her birthday post, Chrissy received plenty of concerned messages from her 34.2million Instagram followers pertaining to her emergency room visit.

‘You can’t casually say emergency room with no explanation!!!’ read one comment, with another writing: ‘Ok explain the emergency room, don’t be one of those people.’

Chrissy has yet to reveal the reason for her trip to the ER, but the star did undergo surgery in February to treat chronic pain resulting from endometriosis. 

She famously showcased the scars from her aparoscopic excision surgery on Instagram in mid-February with the caption: ‘Love yourself! B**** has been through it.’ There were three different incision points on Chrissy’s abdomen following the procedure. 

Chrissy recently revealed that she accidentally offended pop star Katy Perry following the January celebration of the inauguration of President Joe Biden.

The cookbook author while appearing Tuesday on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon talked about supporting her husband John, who performed at the presidential inauguration festivities in Washington, DC.

Katy, 36, performed her hit song Firework to conclude the celebration as a massive fireworks display lit up the nation’s capital and Chrissy afterward tried to compliment the singer.

‘I remember I was so scared because we ran into Katy Perry after, and I always say dumb things. I always get so nervous, and I say like faux pas, and then I hadn’t seen Katy for so long,’ Chrissy told host Jimmy, 46.

Chrissy continued: ‘I was like, ”Oh, I typically hate fireworks, but that was like amazing, that was beautiful.” And then I think she heard that I said I hate ”Firework,” like the song’.

The model said she immediately realized she should have been more clear with Katy.

‘I wanted to die, I felt so bad,” Chrissy said. ‘No, no, no, not ”Firework.” I always do that’.
