Zac Efron laughs hysterically at Sydney restaurant Quay as he films segment for new Down To Earth series with girlfriend Vanessa Valladares

He confirmed that his hit Netflix show, Down To Earth, would finally be returning for season two in 2021.

And on Wednesday, Zac Efron was pictured filming a segment for the new season in the luxury fine dining restaurant Quay in Sydney, which he attended with girlfriend Vanessa Valladares.

The 33-year-old – who relocated to Australia last year – was spotted hysterically laughing on the balcony of the popular eatery, before folding his arms to show off his muscular biceps.

He then sat down to enjoy a spot of lunch alongside his co-star Darin Olien, sampling some of the elite cuisine by Quay Executive chef Peter Gilmore.

Usually, a six course set meal at the venue starts from $240 per person. 

As well as its delicious menu, the award-winning restaurant – owned by Leon Fink –  is known for its unrivaled views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, making it the perfect backdrop for his new show.

Zac’s girlfriend Vanessa, 25 – who is understood to be starring in the show alongside him – was pictured leaving the restaurant.

For the occasion, Zac wore a denim shirt, khaki trousers and a pair of white trainers.

His girlfriend opted for a casual blue jumper and baggy beige trousers.

Zac’s brother Dylan, 29, is reprising his role as producer on the show, shortly after completing a mandatory 14-day quarantine after jetting in from the US.

The High School Musical actor will mainly star alongside wellness expert Darin, as the duo search for healthy, sustainable ways to live on earth as well as embrace the local food, culture and customs of the country.

Zac confirmed the second season on Tuesday, sharing a picture of himself and Darin during a Welcome To Country ceremony lead by an Aboriginal Elder.

The pair both wore paint on their faces, while wearing a traditional red headband.

‘Here we go – Down to Earth season 2!’ Zac wrote alongside the photo.
