The Celebrity Circle: Duncan James is the FIRST star to be BLOCKED

Duncan James has become the first star to be ‘blocked’ from The Celebrity Circle.

The Blue star was chosen by ‘influencers’ Saffron Barker and Lady Leshurr to be axed from the show, leaving Duncan disappointed to have to pack his bags.

Before the exit, he was given the chance to meet up with one of the other contestants, choosing Gemma Collins.

Gemma, however, was a catfish – being played by Loose Women stars Kaye Adams and Nadia Sawalha.

Duncan took a bottle of champagne to go and see ‘Gemma’ – shocked to walk in and find that Kaye and Nadia were in the room.

The Loose Women panelists were seen hilarious scrambling about at the prospect of a visit from the boy band hunk, having been lounging around in bed in their dressing gowns.

‘He’s going to be disappointed to find a pair of wizened old women!’ Nadia quipped before he turned up.

Elsewhere, Denise Van Outen was certain he’d visit her, given that they are friends.

She was left shocked when he didn’t – also surprised to have survived the axe herself, having been pitted against Duncan.

‘Everyone loves Dunc the hunk!’ she had said, earlier in the show. 

On Tuesday’s instalment, YouTube vlogger Saffron had enraged viewers by claiming not to know who Denise and Duncan were.

Viewers had flocked to Twitter to express their outrage at this. 

‘HOW does Saffron not know Denise or Duncan?!’ one person despaired.

‘Saffron has seriously never heard of Duncan James or Denise Van Outen? Get in the bin!!!’ a third raged.

Along with Lady Leshurr – masquerading as comedian Big Narstie – they will have the power to eliminate one of the others.

‘Not saffron being an influencer!’ someone raged.

Elsewhere on the show, reality stars Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks attempted to convince the others that they were Countdown maths whiz Rachel Riley.

DJ’s Rickie and Melvin took on the role of The Voice judge will.i.am.

Charlotte Crosby is set to join the game as a new player in coming episodes, playing as pop star Peter Andre.
