Sampaio, as part of her partnership with Giorgio Armani, promoted the company’s Acqua For Life initiative, which delivers access to drinking water in water-scarce regions.

‘Every day, women around the world will spend a combined 200 million hours collecting water,’ she said. ‘As today is International Women’s Day, we celebrate female empowerment and women achieving independence thanks to the availability of clean water.

‘We understand that when empowered with safe water at home, women can maintain good health, receive an education, and start small businesses… helping them to reach their full potential.’

She continued: ‘The only way to break the cycle is to stop the negative talk, stop submitting yourselves to others in the internet. Talk to your body and express gratitude for all it does, take baby steps to change the patterns of negativity you find yourself slipping back into.

‘Take a bath, have a date night with yourself, dance around in your underwear, remember how beautiful and unique you are for no other reason that you are you.’
