Rita Ora reveals her bizarre home remedy for treating sunburn as she enjoys Sydney’s warm weather while filming The Voice Australia

Rita Ora has been enjoying Sydney’s beaches and warm weather as she films The Voice Australia.

And on Tuesday, the 30-year-old revealed to Nova’s Smallzy’s Surgery her bizarre home remedy for sunburn.

She told the radio host: ‘The sun is no joke here, It’s so hardcore. I just went out and then the next day I was like, I can’t actually move.’

That’s unusual! Rita Ora has been enjoying Sydney’s beaches and warm weather as she films The Voice Australia, and on Tuesday she revealed the home remedy she uses to treat sunburn

Rita shared the childhood remedy her mother, Vera, used to treat her sunburns with.

‘When I was young, my mother used to always cover me in Greek yoghurt because it’s cold, and you get hot (from the sun), right?’

‘But yeah, you put Greek yoghurt on and you just don’t move and it really cools you down.’

Smallzy asked if she thought it was better than aloe vera, a traditional remedy for sunburn.

She said: ‘Well yeah, because it stays cold. I feel like with aloe vera it kind of gets warm quick.’

He followed up with a question about its application to the burn, the British songstress said: ‘It’s like the myth when you put toothpaste on a spot.

‘It’s the same thing but you do Greek Yoghurt on a sunburn,’ she added.

Rita is currently in Sydney taking part as a coach on The Voice Australia alongside Keith Urban, Guy Sebastian and Jessica Maubouy.

Rita found herself fighting back tears while addressing the crowd. She said: ‘[I’m] trying not to cry.’

At the end of her performance she told the audience, ‘I’ll never forget this.’
