Paris Jackson, 22, defends Emile Hirsch, 35, after fans question their age difference

Her celebrity roster of friends runs deep.

And Paris Jackson came to the defense of one of her nearest and dearest after fans questioned her relationship with Emile Hirsch on Instagram Tuesday night.

The 22-year-old musician posted up with the 35-year-old actor at their mutual friend’s Pizza Girl company launch, only for followers to question the age difference between the pair.

Emile shared a picture cuddled up to Michael Jackson’s daughter at the celeb-packed event hosted by Caroline D’Amore.

With pink uplighting in the background of a small soiree, he simply captioned the snap: ‘Hiding out with you.’ 

Paris was forced to go on the defense as the picture was flooded with comments about the age gap between Jackson and Hirsch.

‘This relationship makes me uncomfortable,’ one user wrote. 

‘He’s actually one of the youngest homies of mine,’ she replied. ‘one of my best friends is in their 50s. you probably don’t have friends older than you because elders may find you annoying or immature lol.’ 

She added: ‘not to mention another close friend of mine is 76,’ Paris continued. ‘age is a number, i enjoy the company of people all ages. i am the student and teach of people from 5 years younger than me to 50 years older than me. nothing wrong with that.’ 

Seemingly not ready to put the battle behind her, Paris took to her Instagram stories with a meme to best describe the situation. 

‘Is that your new bf?’ the meme said with someone being chased with ‘P just taking a pic with a guy.’

Paris recently released her debut solo album, Wilted, and hopes to use her star status to bring awareness to causes that matter to her, including environmental issues and animal rights.

She recently said: Everything that I’m doing — the acting, the modelling — it’s all just to grow my platform so I can use my voice for things that matter.’
