Katie Price has spoken of her heartache over online bullying and trolling for a new investigation after her disabled son Harvey was subjected to years of abuse.

The mother-of-five has been campaigning for Harvey’s Law – legislation which would make it illegal to troll or abuse others online and would put offenders on a register. 

Set to appear on Steph’s Packed Lunch on Channel 4 on Wednesday, Katie, 42, revealed her heartache that she can’t ‘protect and shield’ her children.

And in a new film. she has examined the impact of trolling and meets a nine-year-old who became victim to it.

She explained: ‘I spend a lot of time on social media… For every post I put up, there’s a small group of people that like to cause trouble. 

‘When people ask me about trolls and how do I cope with it and deal with things. To be honest, I’ve been trolled so many times myself and I’m used to it…

‘As a mother, it’s so hard to know I can’t protect and shield my children and it breaks my heart what I have to read and go through with my children, especially Harvey because he just gets abuse.’

She added: ‘Recently this couple did this horrific video on Harvey, they even put make-up on their face, they rehearsed the eye movement he does and watched the way he spoke…’

Katie has been campaigning about online abuse and, since 2018, has been working with politicians to introduce Harvey’s Law.

To find out how trolling affects other, Katie met Zach, nine and his mum Claire. 

Zach has cerebral palsy and epilepsy and was recently targeted by trolls when he was fundraising for charity, having been inspired by Sir Captain Tom Moore.

Claire told Katie about their experience: ‘The tweets we’re getting are the strobing gifs trying to make people with epilepsy have a seizure. 

‘The more money we raised, the more attention he was getting, the more the tweets came… 

‘It’s gut-wrenching. I’ve been in tears over it and really angry about it, possibly every negative emotion you can go through.’

Zach has a message for potential trolls: ‘I just want to say, listen, think before you do, because you don’t know what danger you’re putting in place.’
